Well, I looked online at all these reviews before I decided to go out and buy an MPX200
I have only had mine for a bout 3 days and had a few problems getting it to work in Canada.

I bought my MPX200 from Ebay. I got a great deal on it, only problem was it was not unlocked. After getting it unlocked by someone here in Ottawa that does it called ImportCell www.importcell.com
I got it home stuck my SIM card in and realised it needed to be setup on rogers settings.
If you are looking to get the rogers settings working here is the internet info to allow you to use outlook and MSN messenger

      Connect to : The Internet
      Access Point: internet.com
      User name : wapuser1
      Password: wap
      Primary DNS: 207.181.104.4
      Secondary DNS: Leave blank
      IP address: Leave Blank

This will get you connected. Next to be able to use a GMail account on the phone such as I used do the following

      Your Name: Your Name Here
      E-mail Address: you@gmail.com
      User Name: you@gmail.com
      Password: yourpassword
      Domain: Leave Blank
Check the box that says Save Password.
At the bottom of the next step, for network, select The Internet.
      Incomming Mail Server: pop.gmail.com
      Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.rogerswirelessdata.com
Check the box that says Outgoing Server requires authentication as well as Require SSL connection.

Pick your own settings for the last two settings as to how frequently you want it to check automatically if any.

Anyways now that that is all out of the way,
I feel this phone has great potential but feel that the people buying it just do not know how to use it especially in canada, and out network providers wont give us an inch and tell us how.

      Pros:
      +Great Functionality
      +MSN Works like a dream
      +POP Email retrieval
      +Downloadable Themes, Ringers, MP3's
+Can Double as and MP3 Player
+Can Triple as a Video Player.
      +SD/MMC Expansion Slot

      Cons:
      -Aweful Reception (Rogers Ottawa)
      -Confusing initial set-up

Overall I think once you read the manual for this phone and play with it a bit youll get it just the way you like it.

This phone had great features, but I think it's a little fragile. I had several problems with the motorola mpx200, like the buttons sometimes jam (numbers get repeated constantly), the phone crashed and I lost all my contacts (solved by linking to your pc) and now the headphone isn't working, so I can't hear other people talk. That 11 months after purchase....

The best phone. There are better phones of course in the world, but they cost a lot.

I have owned this phone for well over a year and have been constantly dissapointed with it. The OS is slow. It typically locks up or hangs for long periods of time - sometimes forcing me to pull the battery out. It also doesn't keep a signal very well - this could be due to Cingular's coverage, but I have seen folks with other non Motorola GSM phones on teh same network getting much better service. My girlfriend's BlackBerrry works in many places this phone doesn't, and we are both on Cingular. I could complain about this phone for a long time, luckily it is an old model and people probably aren't buying these things anymore. I just know the experience I have had with this phone is making me steer clear of any other Motorola phones in the future.

I am from Argentina and I just bought this phone. So far... so good. It never crushes and the sim of my tel service provider works great. But i have a question:

With a stereo headset... can i really listen in stereo mod? Or is just mono divided in 2 channels?

                  Thanks :)

well at 1st i looked at it, it was big bulky flip cellphone. then someday i just borrow my friend mpx200 & find the function i very interesting. on the same day i bought the phone..
is a very good h.phone so far, funtion and good communication wt. pc. transfering picture and mp3 which i like without losing any money on line just to get the ring tones, but the bad thing is ....battery only lasting for 1 ot 2 days max.
motorolla should do something about it!
i planning to upgrade from WM2002 to 2003, is the any problem?
so u guys have any answer, do reply to me ok!
                                      tq.....
