The only downside i see, is not having the sd slot. Besides that i think this is going to be a great phone (phablet).

My only negative point is that this is not being made widely available world wide at the same time as in the States! There is a big wide world out there outside of America and to be honest, without being rude to our American cousins, they are a bit behind when it comes to getting the latest and greatest handsets. My brother still uses Motorola Razr, I had to laugh! Wack marketing strategy, if you ask me!

First of all, I apologize that my comment is too long, but I need to express my thoughts towards this long-expected Google product.

I am an Android fan. It is an open world for the industry, geeks and hackers for more innovation and customization of their own favorite final product. Therefore, the experience is huge and exciting compared to other platforms.

BUT, the fact that Apple have always set the standards for future technologies have not changed ever since. The same is true about future smartphone computing where Apple have been leading the industry toward 64 bit for more than a year so far. They provided their users with the 64 bit OS, which delivers the necessary ecosystem and the SoC (A7, M7) & (A8, M8) that runs the instructions. They are also forcing the developers to submit 64 bit apps to Apple Store. It matters because gradually the apps are becoming more and more memory consuming and the memory address space needs to grow 64-bit to provide the developers and the users with more capacity of memories, undeniably.

It is true that Google finally presented Android 5, which is capable of performing 64 bit computing, as well as ios 7 and 8. However, regarding the hardware, after a year or so that I have been desperately expecting the same for Android systems, I guess Nexus 6 was a huge disappointment, It is true that they offered a Tablet in order to compete with Apple. The question is "does everyone need a tablet for their everyday use?"

I think they ran out of time to ship Nexus 6 with a Snapdragon 808 or 810 cpu, or any other equivalent. If this was the case, they had better not shipped an obsolete 32 bit hardware which benefits from a 64-bit enabled operating system. Doesn't matter how elegant the device is, it is such a waste.

As a result of that, We have to wait another whole year for Google to ship the right product, because I am not going for TouchWiz or Sense version of the 64 bit Android experience and I think it is fair.

AnonD-326143, 31 Oct 2014Huge mistake not including SD card There is certainly a reason why Apple, Microsoft and Google do not include an external memory option in their flagship smartphones. It is mostly because of the overall integrity of the system. The system must access all the data it needs in a single "always-mounted" and accessible storage. Anything other than that violates that integrity and the functionality of the SoC over the memory.
In case of an external storage, the problem that the storage media can be unmounted and removed physically by the user is a risk that causes the violation of storage access by the system, whereas e.g. some widgets or applications installed in the external storage won't function in case of removing it from the system and that degrades the overall experience of a normal user and causes dissatisfaction.
please note that we are discussing the case for a normal and ordinary user. However, there are advanced users who enjoy using an external storage for various purposes, but let's have in mind that the industry is building the gadgets for different types of users who just need their device work properly and let them enjoy their experience with it. Not all users know how to handle the more advanced usages of a smartphone.

Nexus 6 camera beat iPhone 6 plus camera while the iPhone 6 plus camera beat the Galaxy Note 4.

I love the Nexus line, but this is one extra ugly oversized phone. Poor battery for such a size, ugly, to big for a regular pocket. Will skip.

Droid turbo is going to remain unbeaten in terms of specs and performance both in android market for a long time for sure.
