Not bashing just fyi...I loved my Nexus 4 and 5 but this.........

It's so f***ing ugly compared to the 5 like srsly i would be happy if they just made the nexus 5 bigger and upgraded the specs. I'm a pretty big nexus fan, Owned 4 5 and the tablets but this looks like complete s**t, who ever choose this as the next nexus phone needs to actually be fired. It looks like aids. When i buy a phone i would like it to stand out (In a good way) This looks like s**t and its not even original, its a big moto x. I mean ffs they didn't even remove the s***ty Motorola logo from the back. This is the first nexus phone i will not be buying. I'll stick with N5 thanks. Disappointed...And Angry

AnonD-80553, 21 Oct 2014Now now children, how about you quit fighting? Huawei Ma... moreYou are biased!
How about Nexus 6 doesn't have expansion memory?
Mate 7 has 32GB internal memory expandable up to 128GB!
How about the 5MP front facing camera of Mate 7 which is good for self portrait? Nexus 6 has only 2MP, what a pity!
How about Mate 7 can last up to 648h on 3G which your Nexus 6 can only last in half of that?
How about the almost bezel less screen to body ratio of Mate 7 which fits beautifully in your hand?
And the 7.9mm thin body compared to 10.1mm brick body of Nexus 6!
How about the 360º accuracy finger print scanner of Mate 7?
And the ultra power saving mode function is very helpful which your Nexus 6 doesn't have.

Don't be bias or you will be deleted as well!

3.5mm jack is more important because most people prefer listening to headset.

If Motorola keep on making cameras phones like the Nexus 6, Samsung will be in trouble.

I've always waited until my contract was up to start looking for the new phones in the market. this is the first time I would seriously consider paying the full out-of-contract price for a phone. Wish the future USB type C plug was on it, but that tech isn't coming out for awhile.

But I still won't be dismissing the possibility of them releasing a Nexus 8 to satisfy those consumers who find 8" tablets as perfectly sized and usually the same ones who feel 7 inches of screen falls short for their taste (or hands) or the ones who feel a 9-inch tablet a bit too big and inconvenient to carry around.

Well, I'd say it'd be a pretty daring move if they release a Nexus 8 soon. But hey, if they release one sooner or later. They'll satisfy every subjective tablet consumer for each inches from 7 to 10. Then they can rule out commenters who fine 8" to be perfect-sized having to whine why there is no 8-inch tab available in the Nexus line - even though there exists the G Pad 8.3 and Z3 Tablet Compact. Both of which have recently and officially been announced to receive Lollipop - though I'm not certain if the latter gets delivered. But hey, some like their devices new.

I know their first three Nexuses had not been named Nexus 1, 2, and 3. Rather they were named HTC Google Nexus One, Samsung Google Nexus S, and Samsung Galaxy Nexus (a.k.a. Samsung Google Nexus 3) respectively :-)

Bro those persons are professional designers and that is why they have done it intentionally. There are a few persons who are not liking the disign of moto x specially and call that phone a brick where as everyone knows brick shaped phones were already there its just motorola revolutionized the design. Moto x first gen is still one of the best phones to be held and used with one hand and that too without any compromise in screen size. This is called an ergonomic design. Jim Wicks is the name of the designer who is known world wide for the best designs and even if you google for best designers in the world you'll always find him up there. So no point of fighting over design bcoz it is one of the most refined designs after long ages.

What will be the name of the European version of the Droid Turbo? Somebody posted a comment about that, but now I can not find it anymore.

Now now children, how about you quit fighting?

Huawei Mate7 is a nice enough phone, drawbacks are maximum 32GB internal memory (now that app2sd is gone) and unattractive HTC inspired (only not as good design) body. It also lacks ac wifi.

CPU and GPU wise, mate7 is no match for the Nexus 6. So as for gaming, the choice is quite clear.

Nexus 6 it is overall better looking, has better features (ac wifi) and MUCH more power. Also, the nexus 6 does 4k video recording, the mate7 does not.

Mate7 has bigger battery, but also older 28nm chipset vs more modern 20nm chipset in Nexus 6 + Nexus 6 has more power efficient screen. Mate7 should still have an edge in the battery dept.

Btw, if you have your phone long enough to encounter burn-in, then you simply need more money. . .
