I don't know that we'll see a 3500mAH battery, and it's true that the larger, higher resolution display will require more juice (especially if it's going to offer functional outdoor brightness), but it's noteworthy that Android L is reportedly offering substantial increases in battery efficiency (even outside of 'battery savings mode'), a claim which has been widely supported by users of the N5 using the preview SDK.
In short, wait to see what the battery is, but also to see what projected battery life is as well.

I had last 2 Nexus phones (4 & 5) and I feel the missing specs about battery will be one of the major decisions for me to buy this one or not.
I would really expect at least 3500 mAh battery for a phone of this resolution, anything less will mean I will use less of phone and more of charger.

John, 30 Aug 2014I think there's now way these are the specs of a nexus phon... moreI don't agree. Most of these specs are product of new technology, and many have been already rolled out. When the nexus 5 came out the specs were unbelievable for their time and one could have said the same thing about price rising.

aliensweet4u, 27 Aug 2014AT LEAST I'm not satisfied with all those specs no radio,n... moreWhy listen to the radio when you can listen to your own music? Fingerprint scanners are a gimmick and about as useful as face unlock. Waterproofing is now standard so I have little doubt this will be waterproofed, Air gestures are unwieldy, etc. But I don't know why I'm bothering answering, enjoy your £600 phone that will looks like a toy and will lag in two years because the software is so inefficient, and I'll enjoy my £300 one which has all the features I need.

Do correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Motorola always use AMOLED screens? There is little to warrant a change to IPS, so I find that spec doubtful.

I think there's now way these are the specs of a nexus phone. It's just to much. Eighter they're false, eighter the nexus lineup will suffer a price change. Or, you never know, Google could start rolling out both regular and "prime" versions, where this is the prime.
We'll see.
