AnonD-491410, 22 Jan 2016Which best nexus 5 or 6 The nexus 6 is the better option. A lot of people gripe about how big it is, but it becomes normal after about a week. I have a note 5 as well and it (believe it or not) feels small in my hands now. The battery life, the size, the speakers, stock Android, its just an amazing phone

AnonD-490851, 20 Jan 2016Hi!
I have the chance to get the Nexus 6 for a bargain p... moreOf course it's worth it! It is still a really nice device, with Android Lollipop, and it's also upgradable to Marshmallow and it is the stock version, wich is faster than with lets say Samsung's TouchWiz ,it comes with a fast charger ,it has some pretty good specs (not the best)but it can run Modern Combat 5 and GTA San Andreas on on max settings , it has two front facing stereo speakers wich offer high audio quality ,and the massive 5.96 inch display ,and the battery is a really good one ,you can play M.C. 5 with brightness to max and the battery will hold you up to 3 hours
In my opinion the single downsides are the back pannel wich is plain plastic, not rubberized and apparently the nexus logo can fall off, the camera is not the best in the market ,the size might be a problem if used as an every day phone and it's thickness even tough that means the battery is bigger and lasts more time
I hope I helped :)

AnonD-490851, 20 Jan 2016Hi!
I have the chance to get the Nexus 6 for a bargain p... moreHi, if its webbrowsing and music. Then I would indeed recommend the nexus 6. For non headphone use the music experience through the stereo speakers is amazing and the large display helps showing a lot of content on a website.
The only downside is, there's no micro sd expansion. You can either get the 32gb version or the 64gb. But you can always stream music through google music, soundcloud, spotify etc.
Even if the nexus 6 isn't the newest out there, it will still recieve support from google for atleast 2 years more.
Don't let its age fool you, it's still blazing fast.

Carlo, 19 Jan 2016This is my personal opinion slash review after using this p... moreHi!
I have the chance to get the Nexus 6 for a bargain price. I do mainly web and music with my phones, so def no gaming. My question, should I still get it considering that its not the latest phone in the market.

This is my personal opinion slash review after using this phone for more than a year.
The motorola nexus 6 was my first time ever holding a 6' smartphone or shall I better say, phablet. The nexus 6 was an upgrade for me from the samsung galaxy s3 and this behemoth blew me away.
Since I have had this device it pretty much had its pros and cons, it wasn't a smooth ride till the present day but it wasn't that much of a bumpy road either.
During this period of using the nexus 6 I have dropped it around 4 to 6 times from pocket height and never has the screen been damaged, I do have some small dents and scuffs on the metal trim but to my surprise it's very darn resistant considering the weight of the device hitting the floor and in 3 occasions parking lot asphalt.
A lot of people talk about its battery life, which I understand is a matter of concern specially considering the display size and those dual speakers that need powering. Since this is a phablet, most people would either use it for media consumption (gaming, videos, music and watching live streams). I use my nexus 6 a lot for social media and a lot of youtube viewing, I remember that in lollipop the battery life was pretty much horrible when using such apps. Since the Marshmallow update, the battery life has increased considerably for me. Getting an average 4-5 screen on time with normal use compared to the 3-4 hours i would get in lollipop.
If I were to rate the battery life after marshmallow update, considering the display size. I would give a solid 8 out of 10
If you are into photography or selfies, I would try to stay away from the nexus 6 and actually would go for the newer nexus 6p. Though the cameras aren't bad for anyone that doesn't care too much about the overkill red accents or the blurry overprocessing. If I were to rate the camera quality, I would give it a solid 7 out of 10.
Gaming, Performance and does it heat up?
With the latest antutu update my nexus 6 was getting an average score of 72k, the highest being 74k and lowest 70k. Even the newer games still run very smooth and it's such a joy playing on that 6' display. To my surprise though it doesn't heat up much at all, when playing games like Mortal Kombat X, Dead Trigger 2 and Asphalt 8 the phone did get a little warm but not that uncomfortable warm that many phones have these days. It will make your hands sweat a bit but it's not anything to be concerned about.
So for performance, even in 2016 I would rate it a solid 9 out of 10
Screen and Audio
The screen on this guy is sharp as it can be, obviously now in 2016 and last year 2015 many devices like the note 5, z5 premium, s6 and lg g4 have better displays but don't let that be a drawback for the nexus 6. My only 2 complaints about the display are the viewing angles, which change color contrast a lot and lowering the display brightness causes the whites to turn a little brownish pink. The whites going that color doesn't bother me too much but it might annoy anyone that is into screen quality.
The audio on the other hand is amazingly loud, it's the loudest dual front facing speakers i've heard even till today on a smartphone. Though, this whole thing of being loud does come with its setbacks. The sound itself can seem very 'tinny' compared to the boomsound speakers from the htc devices, but they do still sound decent enough.
For screen quality I would give a deserved 8 out of 10 (if it weren't for the 2 cons, it would be a 10 for me) and audio also get 8 out of 10 (volume alone doesn't satisify many people).
So as for a general summary of what I personally think of this device I would say it feels solid, has a nice weight to it and its design might not appeal to everyone but I find it looking pretty nice.
For a media consumption phablet it's an amazing device, you might look a little weird using it for calls though since it might look like you are making a call with a chocolate bar.
The 'turbo' charger that comes with the phone, charges the device to 100% in less than an hour for me (though some people have reported issues with it, I guess I got lucky)
So... Would I recomend you to buy it?
If you are looking for a good quality phablet, that has a high chance of being supported for atleast few years with the latest operating systems then the nexus 6 is your choice.
If you want something new and the top of the line device I would consider you having a look at huawei's mate 8, though it will burn your pocket really deep.
Sorry for this extensive review/opinion, I do hope I solved issues for anyone having doubts!
