Samita, 26 Nov 2014But...I heard that unlocked phones especially from the U.S.... moreUnlocked phones will get updates anywhere in the world. Only difference is, that the update schedule will be according to the country where purchased. In your case, if you're using a USA unlocked Nexus 6 in India, you might end up getting updates before the Nexus 6 sold in India, i.e. according to the rollout date in the USA.

AnonD-335361, 26 Nov 2014I live in India. My brother who is currently residing in US... moreAll Nexus phones from any of the US carriers or directly from Motorola/Google - have 2g/3g that works in india. You will need nano sim that you can buy from any Indian provider. 4G or LTE will not work with India as 2300 Mhz is not supported in any Nexus 6 version.

Make sure it is carrier sim unlocked if your brother is buying it from any of the 2 carriers - Verizon/AT&T (TMobile/Sprint are carrier unlocked by default). Best to buy from Google/Motorola directly (or TMobile/Sprint) as you will not get any bloatware (unwanted carrier apps) and get fastest update.

I live in India. My brother who is currently residing in US has decided to gift me a Nexus 6. What i want to know, will it have connection problems with an Indian GSM Connection like the droid turbo if its a non-contract phone?

Hi, some good news - nx 6, FOA it's a google product. Charming lollipop UI. On hardware, built quality was awesome. It's feels not so big and heavy like the other 6" devices.Camera is a stellar.
                              its worthy

I've just ordered mine... 64gb version. Looking forward for dec 2nd when the nexus arrives to me.

To be honest, i'm not really bothered if people think it looks like a brick. It's all about personal peference. I don't come on here to slag people off about what smartphone you have. There all good in there own way.

Love, peace and unity to all droids.

Love it. While it's big and hard to find accessories for right now (like armbands, strong cases, and the like) it's quick, sharp, and feels like a very sturdy beast. It took one day to get used to size (I have large hands). Going back to my S5 that I gave my wife, I feel like it's tiny. I can't even bother with the old iPhones anymore- so archaic!
