IDK if it's just my model, but the mic keeps cutting out whenever I'm in a call. Others can barely hear me and I have to repeat everything thrice. I've read of other Motorola users experiencing the same issue on various Motorola devices.
None of the proposed "solutions" I found on the internet helped. The issue persists even after resetting the phone and just installing a call simulating mic test app.
Unless someone here knows if and how this can be fixed, this phone is going back :I

Two things I don´t understand on this model in particular
First, why in Europe we only get a 27W fast charger while in the USA they have a 45W
Second, why was it never proper annouced ? You can´t find anywhere except from Motorola own website.

The Motorola One, Motorola One Action, and Motorola One Power are Android One phones, but not the Motorola One Hyper, Motorola One Macro, Motorola One Vision, or Motorola One Zoom.
Motorola, like Nokia, tend to produce phones that deliver an almost "pure Android" experience, without the manufacturer's own software layer inserted on top of Android. In other words, a user experience that's very close to what one would receive with a Google-branded phone. I, for one, like this aspect of Motorola phones.
The Google Android One program is primarily about phones for which the manufacturer has agreed to provide software updates, including monthly security updates and at least two year's worth of operating system upgrades, from the date of release of the device.
Please see the following link for information about the Android One program.
https://www.android.com/one/
Motorola's use of the word "One" in the name of this phone is somewhat misleading, I believe.
Also note that the One Hyper is a GSM-only phone and thus is only usable in the US on the AT&T and T-Mobile networks.

Badger, 05 May 2020anyone knows if this phone is part of Android one family? Got this phone yesterday. As far as I can tell, it's Android one with a few well-working additions like gestures and "Moto peek".

[deleted post]I wish to correct a portion of what I had previously posted.
I had said that the One Hyper doesn't support Wi-Fi Calling on the T-Mobile US network. This is untrue. In fact, the One Hyper does support Wi-Fi Calling on the T-Mobile US network.
Sorry for the error.

I like this phone,
I purchased this phone about a week ago, and I am coming from an asus zenfone 5z.
main reason I switched was that I wanted band 66, and the better screen real estate.
So technically, I downgraded in hardware. that being said, I never used the asus zenfone 5z to it's maximum potential. I only ever watched YouTube, internet browsing, calls and texting. Thats it.
Doing those same tasks on this phone, feels no different and sometimes a bit faster - most likely because this phone Natively comes with Android 10 and the CPU is 2019 compared to 2018, though on paper, the s845 is a better performer than the s675, for what I use it for, it feels just a tad snappier.
Camera certainly can use OIS, but i'm not a huge camera user. again, all i like to use my phone for is calling, texting, internet browsing and videos.
AS a networking guy, I made the mistake of seeing the 675 has worse carrier aggregation performance. clearly the modem isn't as high end as the 800 series cpu's. i would advice networking people to not get a 600 series cpu.
This phone is great for people that are not heavy users, I recommend it. It's a handsome device too.

I bought my Motorola One Hyper last March 14, 2020 and arrived March 19, 2020. Coming out of the box until setting up the phone, it was an amazing experience. From screen, speed and up to battery life, I give 9 of 10. Camera was great especially the pop out selfie cam which I think is cool. Call quality is great and speaker is loud. I almost return this unit because of some bad reviews especially with the call quality, but when I tried the phone, so far, none of the bad reviews I experienced yet. Nice work Motorola for a midrange phone! You do not need to be expensive to get a nice smart phone like Motorola One Hyper. Highly recommended to buy!
