Just to let you guys know, initially this phone will be offered on CDMA only. I'm sure most of you know that already, but now it is confirmed by Motorola. Still hoping they release the GSM version by the end of year.

I've enjoyed my MPx220 but miss having a qwerty keyboard . I've loaded compressed movies and mp3 tunes on my mini sd cards with good results. The sound is great with the ear buds. I hope that with the keyboard I'll be able to browse and email easier. Pictures are fair in 4"x6" print if you hold steady. Q has better specs. so it should exceed the results I gotten with with the MPx220. Now I think that I'll be able to trade stocks fairly easily compared to the effort required by MPx220 key pad. Since I have about $300.00 worth on mini sd cards I was happy to see a unit that would use them.

I would not order a Q from Trado yet. Based on motorola's latest press release there won't be a phone ready untill q4

I ordered Motorola Q at Trado but they sent me the mail that i have to order minimum 3units. I don't think they even have the phone. Some how they don't seem reliable. During ordering process site never mention minimum number of units to order.I wish someone can let me know if u got this phone from Trado.

Ordered Motorola Q & Samsung d860 from Trado a month ago. I received a confirmation email and order number...but no phone ;no response. these guys seem very unreliable. don't even think they have the stuff they advertise.

Some of you need to relax, what do you want from this thin piece of technology. "hi this phone sucks because it doesn't have 500 GB of flash memory, no 21 inch touchscreen, its not running unix, i cant play world of warcraft on it, it doesn't make me breakfast in the morning, it doesn't walk my dog, its useless." come on people be realistic they are not going to make a brick phone with the crap you want in it, you want to know why because you will complain its too big.

"The long-awaited announced Moto Q smartphone was cancelled in the end of 2005, as well as the number of Motorola handsets. The model will keep on roaming from one exhibition to another, but it won't get to the shops, exactly the same story was with Motorola MPx." You can see this information at mobile-review.com

You all know this has been cancelled.

They are going for 3G instead and that will make it ready by Q3-Q4 2006.

But there will probably be a CDMA version out earlier.

I have a friend who works for Motorola and he gave me one. I have to say the phone is incredible. Yes it is missing Wi Fi but for the person who is concerned about size this phone is it. It is so thin you don't even realize it is in your pocket. The phone will be released on the Verizon network in about 6 months. They have since discontinued the GSM version since Verizon took the CDMA version and stopped the GSM version from being released. The phone is supposed to be released for about $750.00 when it comes out.

no wifi?!? it's pointless to buy a smartphone without wifi, especially if your a student using it for assignments and such.

lame, i'd rather get the new treo. shame this one really looked good.
