in the manual it says go to settings>profiles>4th tab to the right which is a icon of a phone and a tool. but i only have calendar alarm there. i dont have alert option.

hi guys i need some help here. I bought my motorola v8 today. when I get a missed call or get a text which I dont read. My phone vibrates again after a couple of minutes. What is this how do i take it off?

moto v8 good for call and text only
iphone good for multimedia features. you cant compare the 2 phones. you decide which is more impt to you. there are no good or bad phone if your contented of what u have or like. its all in the mind hahahaha

I think my friend you do not know anything about phone. Nokia N family are smart phone and Motorola phone are just basic phone with no advance capability. You want a nice Basic phone okay go with V8 no problem. But phoen has alot of problem. I do have V8. I had N76 and had a problem with quality then owned Motorola RAZR maxx V6 then change with V8. It was a big mistake. The V6 was much better Phone. I suggest start reading the Specification of each phoen and understand what each phone can do for you. How can you compare IPHONE with V8? Even i do not like the IPHONE. They many other better phone out there than IPHONE. Such as upcoming Sony W960. I am planning to change my V8 soon as i get chance. Do not forget to look as Nokia E51.

I think you should go on with motorola V8, rather than an iphone, first of all, if your seeking for a crystal clear music quality, i think theres no difference at all, brilliant screen?, i think motorola also, although the iphone boasts a 16m colors, the dpi, res. of motorola is higher, what else, elegant?, motorola also, very thin, but will not feel flimsy..
currently i have the Nokia n76, pretty, but i think. i change it to v8 after 2 weeks.

Why the heck isnt there 3G or HSDPA on this phone!? They had it on the v3x, but couldn't get it here? Why should I go buy the v9 when the v8 should have this basic feature?

hi guys, i think razr v8 is a very cool phone. Actually I'm planning to buy this as a birthday gift for myself. I'm currently using Nokia E90 and if ever I'll buy the RAZR v8, I'll be using it as my secondary phone. What I really like about RAZR V8 is that, it has an external touch screen for mp3. Other than that, it has an ultra slim appearance. But I'm kind of confused between Motorola E6 and RAZR V8 since E6 has many features that RAZR v8 don't have. It can read Office files (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). It has a 3.5mm head phone jack plug. Also, it plays FM radio. It has an expandable memory slot up to 2GB. My friend told me if it’s the style that I’m looking for, then go for the RAZR V8… But if it is the functionalities and features that I’m after, then go get a E6.. I’m also planning to buy the HT820 wireless headset for mp3 sound trips hehe.. Both units are compatible with it right?... So guys, I need your comment regarding this.. Which is better? E6 or V8??....

hey i have to make a decision here between the SE K850 and the Razr V8 and i so cant make that decision and i need help! the V8 has style and sexyness and the K850 is like bleh with the design i don't think it appeals to me cuz i had a candy bar phone previously and well the features in the K850 is like really good while the features in the V8 is not so good! i want design and features and well a sexy phone that when people see you with it, it would be like wow!!!! Help me decide V8 or K850?????

hi so fresh. Thanks. It's just that Ianness said that it should be pasted first in a notepad before you can save it.
I was thinking of directly cut/paste the text messages (just like with the nokia phones). just open the phone browser select the messages you want to transfer and then your done. is it the same with the V8?

Hi everybody,
I bought this phone few days a go. My first impressions are quite positive, beside the battery life it is not good enough. Otherwise it is very beautiful phone, I don’t care about memory and camera cause I’m not use them at all. The new software platform is very interesting and easy to work with. There is only problem that I have with the phone so far is that phone supposed to speak when somebody from my phonebook is calling me, but it doesn’t. I tried everything, but still nothing, does anybody have the same problem?

You said Nokia is simple cut and paste right?
Well Ianness.... said CTRL and C... which is the keyboard shortcut for CUT. When u press CTRL & C on ur keyboard it performs the same function as when you right click and select CUT. To paste u press CTRL & V or just righht click and press PASTE.
It's real easy... connect phone to laptop and open your Motorola Tools application. Just click on the messages and it will show u all messages on your phone.

i like the phone so much but still hesitating to buy it i need to know first if the built in memory is 512 mb or 2gb im quite
confused since retailers in manila is claiming that memory is fixed at 512mb. is there a seperate model w/ 2gb. help anyone thank you
