Gsmhelpdesk.nl has posted information on four phones, which according to them will be part of the 2008 product line of Motorola. We are rather skeptical about it, but will post this information. All phones are with code-names, which is typical considering there is lots of time until they are released.
Motorola SKARVEN is 8-megapixel cameraphone with optical zoom and 2.8” inch, 16 million color display. Similar to the Z8, it uses the kick-slide form-factor but judging from the blurry image, we guess it will also have touch-sensitive buttons. If this information is right, it will be one of the most advanced Motorola phones.

Motorola X PIXL is rumored to be the first phone, launched in cooperation with Kodak. A 5-megapixel candybar, it is also targeted as dedicated cameraphone and as rival to the Sony Ericsson K850 and other models from the class. Rumors say it will be available as the Motorola Z12.
The third new phone is the Motorola TEXEL which is targeted to the music fans. Similar to the E8, it has multilayered keyboard (nine layers of characters) with “morph technology”. This means that each key can display (and respectively execute) nine different functions.
Motorola GENGHIS is the last phone that the site scooped. It is QWERTY-equipped phone for the masses. Considering the Q-family, it may run on WM6 Standard OS but still this is definitely not sure.
According to the site, Motorola will keep the ROKR branding for its music-dedicated phones, but will start other families: ZOOM for advanced cameraphones and MULTI Q for the Q-like devices that have business-oriented functionality

Terrible battery life - less than 24 hours.
Keypad is much improved on previous models.

Hey Guys, Before you al go Ga-Ga over the phone, let me highlight some issues I have faced since I am using it for a month now. The camera on my V8 has gone dead. It gives me a blank screen and does nothing. dont have a clue of what needs to be done. Any suggestions? Master Reset done.

i would have got the v9 but it has low battery life talk time. so im going to go for this.

In order to read the text message from the outside (ie. with the flip closed) use the buttons on the side of the handset.

specially i advice motorola tat plz dont give the same names 2 all fo ur mobiles like..V6,V7,V8,RAZR,Krazr...wat the hell is going on...?

this fone has a cooler user interface compared to the v6maxx...and it has a 2GB version...its true if u need 3g go for the v9...but if u 're not needing the use of 3g tht often...and all u need is either a big or small memory space...i think this would be a better choice...lolz...juz my opinion...

v9 don't have linux, costs much more, is a bit bigger than v8 and the colour is horrible. if 512 isn't enough motorola is going to release the 2gb version in a fantastic dark blue color, this version is now out in china ,argentina and india. i think that v8 is the best ;)

guys!!! b4 anyone plans to buy this, think again... cuz theyre releasing the v9 soon and, get that instead.. the maximum memory(using a memory card) u can use is only 512mb. i mean its way smaller... plus the screen size is also smaller, plus its got no 3g, not that its a big thing... i suggest if u need a fone ryt now, get the v6 maxx... its a really cool fone with almost the same features xcept for that big ass touch screen. the v6 maxx has it too but a bit smaller but the memory card maximum is up to 2gb... u can say this v8 is a like the l6 they released a few years back, then they released the new l7 ryt? with almost the same features but the memory and the slighty larger screen. im sorry guys but i dont think this fone is worth it. v6 maxx or just wait for the v9...

a suggestion to motorola.take the exact dimensions and design of the v3 use steel instead of aluminum and a huge screen like at the v8 with touch buttons under it, the new interface and you will have a masterpiece.look what porsche is doing with the 911.if a design is just perfect don't change it.but keep changing the inside

thanks man apreceate it, and im just wondering, when i get a text and i take it out of my pocket, it sais, view, or close watever. and then i see text message, and only sais okay. how may i be able to read my text messages from the front screen, really ticks me off that i dont know how to do it.
