@q}46
So that means that millions of people will buy Motorola first, because ALOT of people don't care about features. A cellphone is JUST a cellphone. Which means, Nokia's going to start losing out alot.
Especially here in North America. With the regular networks, and tonnes of people who don't know anything about buying unlocked phones, Nokia has given Canadians and Americans alike, the cold shoulder.
=============================================
Thank you for your help to answer.
=============================================
What is the difference between both OSs in the V8 and V9?
=============================================
Motorola Razr 2 V9 using OS P2K. Motorola Razr 2 V8 using OS MotoMagX.
I am not expert about OS. You can ask to "motox.info".

The only difference I see between V8 and V9 is the external memory and 3G support of V9... Am I still missing something?
===============================================
Motorola Razr 2 V9 using OS P2K. Motorola Razr 2 V8 using OS MotoMagX.
Motorola Razr 2 V9 has external memory up to 2 Gb. Motorola Razr 2 V8 has internal memory 512 Mb or 2 Gb.
Motorola Razr 2 V9 has HSDPA / 3G and EDGE. Motorola Razr 2 V8 has EDGE.
Motorola Razr 2 V9 more heavy and a little bit bulk (1.4 mm) than Motorola Razr 2 V8.
Motorola Razr 2 V9 has more external screen features than Motorola Razr 2 V8.

Because you ask about "Motorola Razr 2 V8 Luxury Edition"; i think is same setting like "Motorola Razr 2 V8".
Main Menu > Web Access > Browser Setup > Browser Profiles > Add a New Profile.
You will see this :
+ Profile Name : Put Your Provider Name
+ Homepage : Put Your Provider Homepage
+ Data Connection > Create New Data Connection:
* Profile Name:
* Proxy:
* Port:
* Domain:
* GPRS APN:
+ Next:
* User Name:
* Password:
* CSD Number:
* User Name:

+ Done > Save
+ Browser Profiles > Default Profile > Select a default profile
+ Back
And now you can surfing internet.

To anyone who bought this phone and has it.
Can you change the wap settings?
Like on Sony Ericsson K850, you go into the browser, go to menu->advanced->connectivity tab->connect using;Rogers(Select)->options->edit-;
APN;goam.com
username;wapuser1
p/w;wap
data compression;on
proxy settings;on (HTTP)->edit->proxy servers;HTTP->edit-;
username;wapuser
p/w;wap
proxy address;10.128.1.69
port;80
Anything like that? I want to know if I can actually go on the internet with an imported Motorola, because I'm planning to get the V8 Luxury Edition from UK, and I'm from Canada.
I've tried it out on the RAZR MAXX V6, but found no such setting.

To the REAL USERS who ACTUALLY have this phone, I've one question for you.
Can you play around with the WAP settings so that you can use the internet on any network?
I know the RAZR MAXX V6 does not have this option, and I hope that the RAZR V8/V9 Luxury Edition does not either.
Or does it just automatically find and set up the WAP settings, and is able to go on the internet on the fly?

GSMA Asia Awards WINNERs 2007
Best Mobile Broadband Handset / Device 2007
Motorola – MOTORAZR2 V9
Motorola made its new RAZR2 V9 profile even sharper, shaving 2mm from the original RAZR. Greatly enhanced dual screens give consumers the largest-in-its class 2.0” external screen for crisp picture caller ID3 and a 2.2” internal screen with twice the resolution of the original RAZR. With the new ARM 11 processor, processing speed is 10 times faster and with high-speed USB 2.0 it only takes a few seconds to transfer a song. Motorola’s innovative CrystalTalk technology automatically adjusts audio to ensure clear calls even in a noisy environment. With up to 2GB of memory, the new RAZR2 V9 has enough storage for approximately 1,000 songs. Music can be downloaded over the air at near-broadband-like wireless data speeds. The external display incorporates Motorola’s breakthrough 'haptics' technology, which provides users with vibrating feedback in response to their finger taps.
