If you want a stopwatch and a timer, get a Casio, not a phone.
A phone is a phone, as long as it can dial and receive calls with clear quality, it already performs its job well.
What other "basic" functions are u looking for?

I just bought my v9 last feb 26 and now I'm having a problem it off and open alone today I can't remember how many times ... And it's annoying , and It never fell down, so what will I do? I'm so stress coz this is very expensive and I just thought it's more nice better than my old nokia 6500 slide....

i think that motorola v9 is a very nice phone. it has high oppertunities and its design is extrordinary. i think that its just the right phone for anyone.

I have just upgraded from the n958gb to this, I know its a lesser camera, but I work for a phone company and its a really impressive fone. All of my fones iv had have been SE but then I got given an 8gbN95 for xmas in 2007, so I was not used to Nokia, but now I have this motorola im happy with it, I did have the V3 when its first came out some yrs ago, and that lasted only 3 months but this really is better quality

This mobile phone looks beautiful, nice, and very slim. Unfortunately, it is very expensive in Indonesia, it is Rp 3,7 million (about USD 308).

In my area, Moto offers 1 hour "repair" (implying "replace") service for phones under warranty, of course excluding damages caused by the user (like your case)
You can doubt Moto's quality if you ever drop flip phones of other brands, especially with such large LCD external screen, and the other brands survived such impact.
My friend dropped his N76 ONCE and the flip can turn over 180 degrees, where the phone lost the "open flip to answer" function immediately.
Meanwhile my friend's wife dropped her Moto V3maxx over 100 times and the phone still works normally.

i dropped it once and there was already damage to the lcd. i gave it back for service and it has been 7 weeks and i've heard nothing. motorola's service is so lousy. you won't get what you paid for.
