Unfortunately it seems for them that folding screen is the most important thing, forgetting about processor, camera, battery...etc. And do they really need such a huge bottom chin? Wait a few months and the chineses will come up with the perfect design at half the price.

Chippy, 14 Nov 2019Lets face it, almost every phone looks the same now and is ... morethe issue with this phone is, it doesnt solve any issue, i mean a now days 6.2 phoen is easaly pocketable.. i would understand this for a 7 inch screen with 21:9 ratio.. but this is just for nostalgia sake.. so the size is 6.2, which is a good size, but Samsung and others make the fold to give you way more screen size, there its worth it if you have the means to buy things that expensive, but the main issue is. the other brands all have the best specs.. this doesnt... sorry but this phone has worse specs then most $400 phones have, and dont get me started on that battery size.. that's just ridiculous..., this should not cost more than $650 considered the flexible screen that is around $260 retail...

do like it it but, battery? how much can do with external screen, wish it had real mechanical d-pad proper mechanical send end buttons. Expensive but new tech is.

It is a very basic phone but it will NOT cost 1500$. It's amazing how people justify that price. The final price will be around 500$ and 550$ and will be available ONLY for Verizon in the first stage. Cnet has already made and unboxing video of the device and NO, it is not a flagship and will not cost like one. The processor is somewhat old and the density of the screen is very low (because the foldable screens are not meant to have a very high density and refresh rates AT LEAST by now), there are no trays or removable cards, and that's precisely to reduce costs.

Yes the battery is not a 5000 mAh one, but it will do the job. This is not a phone designed for gaming, and you are paying for the innovation. And it is not just a Chinese company, we are talking about Lenovo, one of the best laptops manufacturer out there.

A flagship level price for a mid level specs phone. Not competitive, Flex screen is impressive but 1350 USD in the name of nostalgia. I have no idea, what audience they're targeting?

The Razr 2019 is a nostalgia to the original line-up of Moto Razr phones that were nothing short of a style symbol in their time. Given the spec sheet for the phone, is the price too high? Yes, but the price is essentially not for the specs, but for the R&D of a folding display, given how beta they are at current times. Surely, in a matter of time, when there will be easier methods to implement phones with folding displays, the prices will normalize. I'm sure at such a time, we would definitely see another iteration of the Razr that has killer specs and a competitive price. As of right now, just for the looks alone, the Razr 2019 is a perfect throwback to the OG Razr phone.

Nostalgia factor is great. If the specs were better I would want this just for the flip action like the old razr phones.
