so many draw backs for an expensive phone.
the battery, 15w charging speed, no 5g, cpu, 128gb internal with no memory card or at least 256gb inside.
nothing interesting about it unless you want a foldable phone

These will flood the market within 6 months and the price will drop to about or less than 700$
They have achieved what Samsung failed at with their overhyped and overpriced Nokia 9300 copy "fold".
I'm wondering why Nokia is still fooling around with their dinosaur Poor"view" when the whole world has moved on with 6"+ phones - these companies need real management personnel that are in touch with reality (today's market reality) and what people need - that's why newbies like Tecno, Infinix and even Itel will be making profit while Nokia is disappointing us all by not bringing back a modern version of its communicators!
Good job Motorola, you will take the market over again like in the 2000s.

Adul Al Salami Kebab, 14 Nov 2019Pfft no stereo speakers? No IR blaster? No SD card? No jack... more1. Who tf uses a IR blaster. 2. Apple is in some ways overpriced and Blackberry is a Alcatel with it's brand slapped on. 3. This is a folding phone. Plus if you we're making this phone how much would you price it? And lets be real. You won't buy this phone because it is not meant for you. Maybe you should actually look at the phone before you judge it by it's specs.

RAZR never supposed to be a flagship, its about style (specifically being thin) therefore dont expect flagship specs from it. The only problem I see here is its being too overpriced which is a big issue

Adul Al Salami Kebab, 14 Nov 2019Pfft no stereo speakers? No IR blaster? No SD card? No jack... morejust think a few years ago phones didn't have that stuff and now its just come out and you say it needs it and it doesn't, this phone isn't made for gaming or photography, if you want gaming go Xiaomi black shark or for photography go Huawei, to me i prefer this than the Mate x and Samsung Fold.

Love the Community, 14 Nov 2019The fold and the complicated mechanisms are an easy +$1000 ... moreI agree the folding is probably the issue causing this price besides the water resistance and eSIM but this thing should had more features or at the bare minimum 5G...

Adul Al Salami Kebab, 14 Nov 2019Pfft no stereo speakers? No IR blaster? No SD card? No jack... moreThe fold and the complicated mechanisms are an easy +$1000 cost. Even Royole FlexPai has to cost more than $1500, I think.

totally overpriced under specced phone, no wide angle or telephoto with low rated battery is more than enough today to kill interest off, sad to see such a promising phone go by the wayside

Pfft no stereo speakers? No IR blaster? No SD card? No jackie? No 3500mAh+ battery? No flagship chip-set? No 108mp camera? & the only things going for it is eSIM and splash protection?!! And this you want 1500$ for? Motorola I get that the screen and stuff is expensive but you are not Apple or Blackberry! OwO

Even the outdated specs I can live with considering I still use a 2016 LG G5 and 2017 Essential PH-1. And both still work like a charm.
I'm on my 2nd Essential which I got as open box on eBay. I got it over 2 years after the Essential's original release, so I don't mind waiting 2 years for a phone. I get retro phones from 5+ years ago occasionally when I get bored.
It's the Razr's initial price that's killer. It's got to be around $700 initially and then down to $400 after a year. Then I'll run out and buy it. No way this should be worth more than even $1000.
This is catered for people who enjoy nostalgia, uniqueness, love flip phones or want to carry around a compact phone again like an iPhone SE. And no worries shattering that display if closed!
Lenovo only plans to manufacture 200,000 of these, so whoever owns one, consider yourself lucky. No way the price ever drops below $1,500 with its scarcity.
