These are the specs for the ZFlip 4, not the razr in any market. Motorola is slacking, there's no reason to buy a razr or motorola other than nostalgia. The razr is very last gen++ tech.

Has anyone found the SAR rates of Razr 2022?

Anonymous, 16 Aug 2022No telephoto = trashIt does have 2 Times 12.5MPTelephoto. Just crop that main sensor at full resolution

JustSayYeah, 23 Aug 2022Or using snapdragon 778g less power & costThe 778G+ is more efficient than the 8gen1, but not better than the 8+gen1 (because the + is TSMC)

En have you even use a 8+ gen phone yet ? Compared to 8 gen 1 , the 8+ is 100% way better in term of stand by and usage.

Spectr3, 03 Sep 2022Some interesting comments here which I’ll respond to below.... moreMy math is not off. It's wider than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Look it up.

Flossy Carter doesn't seem to like this phone. Looks more like a Flip 3 & 4 design ripoff with Razr as its name. It's a Razr by name only.

It’s the biggest fault to buy this phone again base on our good memories with Startac. I bought 2 Razr in year 2020 and was really exciting about it. But I have to buy a spare phone in the following week as the phone was always in trouble and putting back to repair centre, no backup service, and the staffs are extremely unfriendly and they have no idea what is technology as whatever you would like to know they dont know. Tried to reach their customers support and no support ending up someone from Malaysia send me a mail.
Tell me how can you treat your loyal customers like this?

AlexHimself, 17 Aug 2022It's a nice looking phone. But where is the Star Tac ... moreNice to see someone recall the StarTacs!
Razr 2022 can stay in various fixed position angles just like the Dlip4/3 I mean how do you think Samsung got the idea from? ;)

I think the width is great like a default Android smartphone. More text on a site or document cane be read on each line. Means more longevity for rendering HTML sites - something I’m beginning to have issues with my 12 mini! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ also virtual keyboard means typing on wider keys will be much easier and less word correction. This makes me think Motorola did design this for the uK and North American markets as this would be a major consideration - Keyboard size and key spacing and width.

I’m hoping this gets the global nod from Lenovo (who owns and makes Motorola’s now).

Some interesting comments here which I’ll respond to below.

To start: the major decision or comparison between the Moto Razr 2022 vs Samsung Flip4 is:
Samsung has guaranteed 4yrs AndroidOS and security updates for all their phone released this year and onward.
Samsung has global partnerships with carriers thus east for HW upgrades, brand name recognition and when the majority of global android users think AndroidOS they think Google & Samsung 1st beyond all others: warranty, reliability and support.

Motorola, prior to being sold to Lenovo had the same brand name recognition globally years ago, still does to older users (above 35) in the western world. Remember Motorola has had smartphones since JavaOS or SymbianUIQ.

@M.G. The P50 May have slightly larger battery but the OS, limited regional support/warranty and ability to use on global carriers is a major reason to avoid it amongst ANY other phone! Forget it. No comparison when you really cannot use it where you travel and to most users it’s useless for reasons I’ve stated.

@RazrV3i this IS a Razr - slimness isn’t the only definition for the Razr brand it’s style, power and iconic use, real world use! Recall ts predecessor IS the StarTac ! Same use case Moto started with the close flip ends calls, open accepts calls before anyone else! Motorola also was first with a large screen external secondary Screen before Samsung and it’s STILL more functional out of the box currently. Also innovation is part of the lineup.

                              @CptPoower,
Camera, battery life, and much more functional secondary screen, all our weight the Flip4! Samsung didn’t even try hard due to no global competitor in terms of shipping volume and support. If Moto announces official global with the Razr 2022 then next year it’s ON! Also Razr 2022 still has less of a crease vs the Flip4.
Also has better hinge design functionally too.
The only thing Flip4 has over Razr 2022 is:
For Flip3 users a huge trade in value since Samsungs just going to reuse most of the parts really. Samsung is playing the hardware hook into their ecosystem.

@ArkN , bruh I feel your pain! I honestly thought Rogers would pick this up so either it’s manufacturing volume or that Rogers is no longer run by a CEO close to the Rogers family or Lenovo couldn’t come to a good deal shipping on credit until sales happen and maybe differences of policy or stance on return policy and costs and support.

Fingers crossed for Rogers, Bell and GlobaTron but Telus is pure team Samsung for about a decade now.

@TheFlip, your math is seriously off.
iPhone 13 Pro Max is 78.1 mm (you do know this is millimeters right?!) wide.
Flip4 is 71.9 mm wide. Yes you’ll notice it but it’s not HUGE (major over exaggeration). That’s still less than a cm. Either you have HUGr eyes or tiny hands. Joking aside I think the Flip series has always been targeting female users vs the male demographic on the global market. Though I may be wrong.

@DMX this definitely is a phone designed for men.
Wide, all black design (like a black tie suit), strong hinge for physical swing to close or flip open a la traditional Razr’s proper camera array, and no girlish colours! No effeminate queues in the design at all. Back in the day Men got the StarTac - or high end Razr’s before that lineup of feature phones just got too many variants. Anyhow, bull hasn’t been a design masculine aesthetic for years now. If a phone is to define your masculinity - you’ve got other things to worry about, or think about. I’m just comparing va the Flip4. Each to their own still.
