I live in the USA and I have had my phone since the beginning of January. I bought it through www.hks-mobile.com (fantastic customer service and communication). My main problems with the phone are: the music keys on the outside are inconsistently slow in response... meaning sometimes they are a little slow and sometimes very slow... so you don't always know if the phone is going to process the command, and then you press it again, only to find it processed the button twice and now you're doing something you don't wanna do. Also, I wish it had a radio, but not a big deal I guess. The camera is okay, but you have to hold it steady when pushing the button, or it's easy to blur the picture.

Overall, I love this phone. The big display and nice wide keypad are great. The overall look of the phone, the feel of the rubberized back, the lights that flash when you receive a call... it shares the #1 spot of being my favorite phone with the Sony Ericsson k800i (James Bond Silver Edition).

Good phone, but overall Nokia N76 is better. It is a smartphone combined with a fasion phone combined with a music phone. Better user interface than the motorola. But if u dont need smartphone function and want HSDPA then the MAXX is the way to go.

V6 maxx is way much better than nokia n76..I have two friends who own these handsets and had the chance to test drive the two. N76 hangs a lot, feels cheap and flimsy. V6 maxx is the real powerhouse of phones, in looks, features and especially in multimedia. and pleaassee...why fm radio when you can load a lot of your favorite mp3s?????

I just picked up the Maxx yesterday. I upgraded from the E815 which was a great phone with tons of ability to manipulate the functions for use by techies! The Maxx is cool looking and the camera is the best I've used on a cell phone. The speaker seems to be pretty loud. I loaded 50 songs onto my card and have no trouble hearing them. The headset however could be louder when holding the phone during an active conversation. I have heard a lot of complaints about the previous Razors, but I figure Verizon gives me 30 days to test drive this one. I'll decide soon enough if this one's a keeper.

The "two LED flash" of maxx V6 is a hoax!!! If you take the flash lens off you can see that there's only 1 LED and 1 piece of yellow tape!

                                @ Flywurx...

Well sorry mate but from my experience and understanding of the consumer laws.

When you buy a phone here in the UK... u get a 14 day return policy because it is the responsibility of the company reasons when they got it supplied by Moto... it would have been tested and approved by them before they buy it.

When sold on to you... u take your receipt to the company and not Motorola to get your money back innit?... when you buy clothes and realise it's torn somewhere u dont take it back to Levi's or Ralph Lauren or which ever manufacturer... you take it back to the shop you got it from... unless you bought it direct from a Levi's own store or Ralph Lauren own store... i'm sure u'd agree??? Or when you buy a new car that goes faulty in 1 week... you take it back to them... it's repaired... and if not they replace your car and send it back to the manufaturer... you can be sure though they would try and shift blame and say maybe you did something...unless you know ur rights... u'd just get played again.

Same thing applies here... they should have replaced it for you then send the faulty one to Motorola themselves... NOT YOU.

Moto are the manufacturers so they can repair it... if unable to repair then they replace it with a new one... same thing if u break your shades bought at Raybans... u can take it in for repairs and if they are unable to... they replace it with a new one for you... happened to me so i'm 100% sure. Plus i've had phones go faulty...due to my flashing and modding adventures and i always return it to orange and get a replacement... they now send the faulty one off for repairs which then comes back as refurbished.

                                It's that easy...

Bottom line is the shop u got it from do not wan't to take responsibility so passed it on to you.

They DON'T have a replacement warranty, even if you bought one of their defective units...
                                  It's only a repair warranty...
                                  so that translates to...
                                  Motorola - 1
                                  Consunmer - 0

I bought mine last November 2006, and at the time, it was Motorola's top of the line model, no V3MAXX back then. All I wanted to say was that their warranty sucks and letting other potential Motorola buyers know about it. It's not just about getting screwed by the phone shop but by Motorola itself.

                                      cheers !!!

Mate... it's nothinf to do with Motorola.

Motorola stopped manufacturing those phones long time ago... thats why u now have the Maxx as the replacement.

You obviously bought a refurbished phone... or a used one and thats why the company u bought it from would not accept it back cos they know. If you bought it brand new from a real phone company even your recepit would have it shown that you have a 14 day return policy.

I had the v3x to b4 i upgraded to the Maxx in December 2006... sold mine off fo r£20 and the bloke is still using it.

U got played mate... don't blame Motorola blame the company u bought it from.
