Hi, I simply would like to know if this phone has an instant messaging engine that uses java or its own engine and not text messaging to get and receives messages. I only really need Yahoo! or AIM.

What is the major difference between the V6 Maxx and the V3x?

        People with this phone:

Im not a mobile fanatic as many, but a new feature my last phone didnt have (LG M4410 - biggest mistake) is making contacts private. You can choose to hide them.

I got stuck, and changed a contact to private. I then couldnt find it, so I contacted Motorola. The phones default is to hide it, so to show hidden contacts go to:

settings > security > show private entries

enter in 00000000 (8 zeros). It will say accepted. You can change it by going to:

settings > security > new passwords > private entries code : enter in 00000000 and change it to what you want.

The feature is very handy for me, especially having people's numbers, that you would prefer people not to know if they are sneaking through it.

Hope this comes in handy for some of you guys!

The razr's are weak. Let's try something new, instead of upgrades of the razr..Thanks-Jim

I have had my phone for a few days time now and battery life is quite good. It uses less battery when using only GSM but if you are using 3G then it will use more battery but still get good battery life out of it. Reception on this phone has been great and sound quality has been great the only part that loses to the Nokia N73 is the Speakerphone which is louder on the N73.

I have it and I love it.
It ain't much negative with this phone at all.

BTW, yes n76 is so ugly and bad.

Anybody who posts negative comments on this here "Maxx" obviously hasn't personally used it. Has anyone here looked at the New "Nokia N76?" Tell me what you honestly think about it's looks & functionality.

Like SE builds high quality phones with amazing cases and functions. Their originality is ridiculous.

I also had a problem with my V3i about the high pitch sound when charging. I hate the sounds especially when i'm charging the phone while i'm asleep at night. At first, I thought that my charger would explode when i first heard it. But i also asked my classmates who also had Motorola phones, they said they also hear the sound while charging.

Well... checked it myself and you cant save messages to ur Storage Card as the Nokia phones go...however you can mod your phone and get some after market software to do it... just like you can mod motorola phones to do it too but not factory implemented.

here's what it says on www.allaboutsymbian.com: "No built-in capabilities for that, but search for "msdrivee" and try that (make a backup first, though, because it might not work that well, or then again it could...). "

                                and

                                here is the software
once installed - open msvdrivee and from then on incoming message will be stored in mmc
to see if u have done it succefully go on messaging and u should see a memory card icon... Attached Files msvdrivee.sis (1.2 KB)

                                Guess thats sorted then.

Dude below... can you show me where you can do that and i'll accept your view...till then i dont think so.

From what i know... it's either your in built phone memory or SIM card memory... not your Storage card/momory card/sd card as it is called.

Just show me a snippet where it say's so and i'll take what i said back. Dude asked whether you can on the Razr Maxx and i'm 100% sure you cant... if u can on Nokia's then so be it.

Dude, u CAN save message to ur memory card or storage card or whatever you call it. Have a look in Nokia cells with symbian OS.

Men some of u ask the most ridiculous questions on here like ya'll don't have no brains or something... please read or search theinternet b4 asking.

Dude with the MP3 problem... maybe you saved bad files cos i have MP3 songs on my Storage card and and phone memory and they all play. What exactly are u doing...or not doing? I feel u've probably saved files that are too large or just corrupt.

Dude talking bout saving stuff like Nokia Symbian. First things first... there's nothing like Nokia Symbian... there's Symbian software used by Nokia and loads of other phone manufaturers...even Motorola uses it on their A920, A925 and A1000 3G phone and some others.

To answer ur question... messages are saved to either your phone memory or your SIM/USIM card... NOT YOUR STORAGE CARD. On the razr maxx they are saved to your phone memory.
