also im using a nokia n80 atm and ive never had a bigger phone in my life also its incredibly slow.

i spent ages reading all this crap bout people arguing over motorola just using the same design over and over again. in my opinion, razr phones have never really been up to par with other phones feature-wise til now. dont complain about the camera... if you want a digital camera buy one omg where i come from people use phone cameras for making stupid videos when theyre drunk. razr maxx looks great on the outside and its seems sturdy unlike most new samsung mobiles, ive read countless reviews of people who had samsung d900s whose screens cracked in less than a week. all phones have problems but at the end of the day its a phone first, anything else second.

Just a quick corection guys...

Orange release date for the Maxx ain't 6th of December like i previously posted... rather it's due for release December '06... but subject to change so for all u know could be January or whatever.

hey iz da RAZR Maxx the same mobile as the Motorola V6maxx or something caused in New Zealand they hav startd selln the V6maxx(somthing along the line ov V6) for $999 nz dollars on vodafone. I want the RAZR maxx so iz the V6 the same fone?

Needs an FM radio and a better camera. The keypad is phenomenal.

Any of the owners can comment on the mp3 quality of the Maxx? Is it as average as the V3i or does it sound something a little closer to an mp3 player or a SE Walkman phone

Orange UK release date... 6th of December (but subject to change) as sh1t does happen.

It's already been released in Australia (like 2weeks ago)... so it's definitely coming soon.

If u can't wait stop moaning and get a Nokia or whatever other toyphone is out there... which i'm sure u don't wanna do that so better be patient.

I'm just sick of the interminable "Coming soon" status. I don't even have any idea if Moto is planning to sell this phone for Xmas or not till next year. DOesn't anyone @ GSMArena have even a clue of an apx. release date? What the heck is the holdup?! RIZRs are out now, but no maxx..... Been waiting like 3-mo. now, almost out of patience, gonna settle for a Nokia if they don't release VERY soon.

I called Motorola here but they dont even know about Motorola Razr maxx
i told them to google it they told me there was no information about motorola maxx on internet :)

I called again to motorola this other guy
didnt know about Razr maxx either
he said i must have got the name wrong
Whats up with Motorola dont they even know
they releasing Maxx?

As for the phone i think it is cool
i wish we could change the color
to green and red but i guess blue is ok too.

I want a Flatpanel or Sensor phones
i am deciding between RAZR MAXX or Lg Chocolate (KG800 or Ke800)

Both LG and motorola look very Startrek-ish
if Motorola just could hurry up releasing
the RAZR MAXX now then i could decide
if not i probaly end up with LG chocolate

there is no other phones that realy catch my atention, because i want a stylish
Startrek-looking mobile.
(with startrek i mean a glass surface
with sensor buttons on both chocolate and razr max has this, but Razr maxx also has a flat shiny num keypad.

Now, i do want to have the phone
in my jacket suit pocket
i will probaly have a problem with the Fat Razr maxx, but i am not done deciding yet.

...and another thing, as cool as the V6 is, the front side blue lights are stupid. They should have just left it at the Moto logo glowing.

The keypad is awesome, makes the V3x keypad feel like a non-working display sample.

When they upgrade this to the V8 or V10 with GPS and HSUPA and add a real OS, it will be perfect.

It's hard to believe how cool this phone is. Technically it's slightly thicker than the RAZR V3, but it feels just as slim, and overall much nicer in your hand. It's a pity Motorola don't source their imaging hardware from a reputable brand like Zeiss or Leica. The cam is pretty average. The MotoRAZR V6 really need symbian OS on it. Nokia N73 software on this V6 unit would wipe the floor with everything else. As for the price in Australia, I think the upfront no contract price at Telstra stores was $7xx.
