Hahaha...

Mr English,

1) In Built Answering Machine: Guess what... Been there done that... Motorola had this on their phones 5 years ago... think i'm lying then check out the Timeport 250... I had it.. used it but only very rarely cos you can only record so much... eats up your storage space so guess it made sense for Moto to take out... even before i got the V60 so thats like so so old school.

2) Ringtone independent thingy: We ain't got that but in reality there's only so many situations i can see... i wanna hear my phone when it rings/texts/email or whatever... dont wanna hear it... or want it low/vibrate... just another example how the other phone manufacturers confuse you into getting stuff you dont need. How many manufacturers do you know implement that?... hardly any so obviously another kiddie feature.

3) Vibrate/Ringtone simultaneously: Dude... where i'm from thats called ring and vibrate... and i do mean vibrate to the tone so for every beat theres a vibration not some uncoordinated stuff.

4) Call Block: Mate... i had that on my regular V3 Black 2 years ago... the feature is called Call Filter( for those that did not then your network modded he software cos Moto are so easy to personalise they take advantage of it)... also have that on my MPX200(please note this is not a Windows feature on the MPX...it is Motorola's) from 3 years ago and still do cos still got it... where u can block particular numbers... block Witheld Numbers... block Unknown numbers i.e numbers that are not witheld but are not stored in your phonebook... Block Unknown Calls i.e international calls that come up as unknown (not Private/withheld)... also note this was not limited to 10 numbers like you find in most phones... the whole phone book mate.

Mate... i don't even have to go on cos you already know the score.

Recognize... keep bringing it guy's.

    Mr. Motorola Gangster.

You're contradicting yourself about application locks with your reasoning you just posted below, but anyway...

I use Sharp 903sh and Toshiba 904t, these are the features I have and use everyday that Motorola doesn't have and most likely doesn't even know how to implement. I am not even going to go in details how Motorola screens are very poor and their gui is old and ugly, and their cameras are worse than a disposable digital camera you can purchase at a gas station or a drug store...

    1. Built-In Answering Machine. With the ability to monitor the message a caller is leaving and ability to pick up the phone or let the answering machine continue recording it.

    2. Ringtone volume is independent from SMS volume and Email volume

    3. Vibrate that is also independent and can be assined to either of the functions mentioned in item 2. Also, vibrate can be linked to sound where it vibrates to the music/ringtone (sorry, that's probably "kiddie stuff" for you)

    4. Call Handling. You can divert/ignore/block any particular number so the phone won't even ring when the call comes in. Also, you can block Unavailable, Private, or Blocked calls from ringing in, and have a choice of either sending them to the answering machine or voice mail or simply reject them. Very useful for a person like I am, who has no landline and uses his mobile number for everything, telemarketers tend to get a hold of that # and call a lot.

This is not even mentioning any other superior features that you call "kiddie stuff" but other phones have and Motorola never even heard of.

Like I said, Motorola should stick with making those retarded walkie-talkies for Nextel and maybe cheap razr's that you get for free for signing up with a provider

      Mr English and crew...

u mean u gonna go thru all that APN stuff just to limit access to ur browser?... mate... even Nokia users have enough common sense to realise that the lock application solves that uneccessary action... waste of time... plus if the girl/guy get's suspicious as to why the received calls/ messages or whatever else is locked... u telling me even they don't have enough sense to realise it's beacause they are nosey and that just ain't right? who cares anyways... ohones are personal and Motorola are the only ones that help you achieve this.

Plus i dont want my phone locked everytime i want to use it... i want it open so only lock those i feel are neccessary... the day ya'll will have that then we'll let join the party... in the mean time stay out.

Well... just proves to me that you other phone users actually lack the innovativeness to think outside the box which is why ya'll stick to the bricks...

Still waiting for one of you to tell me one function... that is actually neccessary and frequently used that my Motorola does not have and does not perform better than yours(please don't talk about editing pictures and all that other kiddie stuff except you are 15years old and below)... also please don't mention a radio cos Lord knows how many people atually listen to the radio on their phone... thats like so old school taking us back to the days of transistor radios... nowadays we use Ipods so strictly MP3 functions please... ta.

Gangster, well at least your english has improved... a little. The fact that you can lock a certain app independently makes no sense, so every time you want to see your outgoing or incoming calls you must enter a password...that's really convenient, just lock the phone as every phone comes with it and you're done. instead your girlfriend sees the phone, grabs it and sees that you have particularly locked your in/out call log, that's not suspicious at all. The only way i see it could be useful is to block out web, but you can do the same with every phone by slightly altering APN or any other setting in the WAP/internet menu.

Actually this is a high class phone with all the latest features. However the camera lacks severely and it's too thick to call itself Motorola.

Till Kingodom comes... i just can't understand why you other phone lovers keep on coming back to this MOTOROLA FORUM... why can't you just be content with your bricks and keep it real???

The fact remains that there's nothing your phones can do that a Motorola cannot do better...thats why there loads bugging you guys.

Say what u want... i got loads of mates with the N series phones and no doubt about it they are a pain... humongous... slow... freeze all the time... even the N80 with a 3 megapix cam is still not clearer then the 2 megapix on the V3x... take it or leave it... it is the truth.

Name it we got it... sync your phone with your pc, take pics, record vids, play MP3's, surf the internet proper (not that WAP bullshhh), bluetooth connectivity and data transfer, control pc with phone thru bluetooth, storage space loads... plus some other stuff ya'll never have evr had... good old Motorola's personalisation and lock application... ya'll will never have that... the most ya'll can do is lock your phone which locks everything... o rthat silly keypad lock which everyone can still access your phone with... Try locking only your messages... HA!.. u wish u could... try locking only your received and dialled calls, or your settings, or your make your phonebook only able to view but not edited( for those girlfriends that like to delete certain numbers of their boyfriends phones or vice versa)... you wish.

Gangsta Moto - since when was this forum your Motorola gangasta party ? Gsmarena -take note.

Nokia is still the leader and the company holds more than twice the market share of Motorola .Motorola tout and flaunt their handsets and do everything they can to promote them and they're market sahre is still jsut half of Nokia- so you have to ask why ? .The fact is- they cannot really compete with a giant like Nokia who have the real mobile technology ,style and class .Nokia do not produce handsets in vulgar pumpkin and lime green either .Theri s something in being understated and having abit of style wihout being 'in your face' like Moto handsets.

Also, every single Moto forum I hve bene on simply talks about needing help with a problem with a moto phone or modding. Why do you need to mod a perfect phone ? So if you want ot tal kabout moaning Nokia fans - look at Moto forums first which are infinitely worse.

I never feel the need to mod my Nokia phone because there is little that needs modding. The manufacturer Nokia has done it for me so I need not !

I have had many of the new Moto phones myself - because I like to be open minded however- I have returned them within a couple of days. E2 was one of them - why ? because as a music phone - it is terrible .Even with new firmware, there is stuttering with every song played plus the volume is low.

Moto Maxx looks good and the operative word is 'looks' .

Nokia is a giant company and it is far more technologically aadvanced in providing mobility through handsets than others .Prove me wrong - show me the numbers ,till then ,concede.

It's actually amazing Motorola would call this phone "maxx" when there's nothing max or cutting edge about it, the screen is ok, the camera sucks, the u/i is like 3 years old. Motorola needs to finish this RAZR product cycle and come up with something new. I wish Japanese phones would start competeing with the rest of the world -- it would be over for Motorola and even Nokia would have a hard time to keep up.

I had a RAZR before, it fell apart in 6 months, the hinge started wobbling and getting loose, and the whole flat shovel factor wore off fast, and when i looked at other people's phones with their user interfaces - motorola looked so dated and uneventful.

This phone will sell well in US, because people are not into gadgets as much as europe or asia, but I think they should just stick with making their stupid walkie-talkies for Nextel and stop making GSM phones

yes, motorola got a good phone but it has not gotten much acceries like nokia e.g radio, infrared and much more...
you see if u want a phone then chill for nokia cus there is n95 which is the king of phones and on it's way to save it's people and till it comes then we have not yet started seeing phones.
                    thanks to nokia.
it is time motorola lovers follow the foot steps of nokia fans cus we got much fun.
                    thanks.

                      here's the endpoint to everything!
Nokia phones would only be for those techie loving pipol hu knows innovations and cutting edge technology, while motorola are for those who enjoys pure simplicity and not too technical phones!

Nokia fans are not bitter. They just know better ,mate.
Market share wise - Moto makes money from selling in countries like China -big countries ,millions of people .Nokia do make great phones and it is absurd to think they will lose any more market share. It's too big and too smart a company.

Motorola phones are lacking in many respects and I don't know why some people here can't accept.

And- I do not know how the moderators here let these people who swear and write these things ,get away with it for your information, gsmarena. I do not see why my posts should sometimes be deleted and not some of the regulars who dominate this forum who write terrible things.

this fone looks really good but something telling me it will suffer the same as its predecessor the v3x which is bad build quality. ive had my v3x for 10 months now and my mate has had his for 6 months (mine on three and his on voda)and the problems are my housing on the front of the flip the rubber coating has started to peel away and also the hinge doesnt cancel calls all the time wen you colse it and is rather stiff to open and shut. my mates problesa are the front camera lens has fell out and the front screen no longer lights up anso his keypad has stopped working on the right row of numbers and cancel button no longer works.

yes the phone looks the part and we both really motorola`s razr line but the build quality has put us both off so much so that im thinking of getting a sony ericsson w850i when my upgrader is due, ive been a loyal follower of motorola and would like to trust them but with all the new touch sensitive front it just makes me think this is more to go wrong.

nokia will succeed alright. succeed in losing marketshare while motorola further closes the ever shrinking gap between them. like i said faisel it's all over when MOTOFONE starts shipping this month. i guarantee those within nokia don't fear razr or krzr or maxx, they fear MOTOFONE the most as should you.

those friends of yours i assume were males as no female in her right mind would get moist panties over your waffle iron-like ugly nokia multimedia brick. the KRZR on the other hand.... :)

the first will be the last! and motorola actually its the bottom in technology, even benq siemens that its having problems have phones with better features.
moto cameras, interface, screens are not so great. especially the camera that CAN'T produce good pictures all blurry, moto NEVER had a good cameraphone.

1 more thing: Why not you go get a new Motorola next year? Bcuz they are running Linux and it will fit your taste. Just look at Motorola next year.......

Telstra, Australia's largest Telco, have turned on a new nationwide 850mhz HSPDA network. The Motorola RAZR Maxx V6 (yes V6) is being offered as an initial handset along with some samsung models for the 850 mhz 3.5g network. This network is like Cingulars in the USA - 3.5g 850mhz.
