Motorola RAZR maxx, killing desing but poor features (read NO inovation, except for the HSDPA), and everyone know it won't be cheap!
Who cares about the camera? What the hell if you want a camera just buy a digital camera. All camera phone SUCKS, the only mobile which can get really close to a aceptable quality is the HTC Hermes (Qtek 9600, O2 XDA Trion, i-mate JASJAM...) just read the reviews and you will see what I mean, the camera is a real hero if you compare even to the SE K750i.
The greatest invoation im waiting from Motorola is the battery life!!! My phone is a Motorola and he don't live up to 3-4 days in stand-by mode.

Well... all I can say is stop hating dude... don't like a phone then go to a forum where what you like is at instead of envying another phone and bashing it just cos it looks better than what you got.
Also... smart people are smart thus.. i realise that haters change names but not enuff sense to realise that their IP address never changes.. too late now so don't even bother... i know the hater below me is the same that was below me two posts below.
Also... you could not even come back with anything solid to say after letting you realise that if it's mad features you want the A1200 and loads other motorola's are out there for you to pick from...
When u have a regular 3G phone that beats the v3x...not to even talk about the v3maxx then come back and maybe we'll listen to you.
In the meantime... pay homage to the Maxx cos it deserves it.
Peace!

Hopefully, in a forum that has turned to targetting, and not discussions - logic will follow.
Some of you have gotten it, but then again, dreamland has bitten some of you on the butt.
Marketing must promote its service and product. That's a big "duh!" People are comfortable with familiar things. That's another "duh!"
Style & fashion fades that's a given, but while the bell bottoms are in style who's gonna sell mini skirts. Change the bell bottoms to plaid, or khaki...but not minis.
It's a classic Cowboy X - Cowboy O scenario...Just change the thing a little bit, and sell it new. People will buy it, and profits will be big...
If you recognise the play, acknowledge the player...He's good, cuz people are still falling for the new fad, while profits grow.
It's not necessary to increase specs....

Hater below,
I'll just refer to you as JOSE (Jealous Ones Still Envy)... or just regard you as one of dem dudes with a PHD (Playa hating Degree).. cos you have absolutely no basis and no argument at all concerning the functionality of a moto phone like the v3maxx...
Listen up.. first things first if u want high end smartphones...Moto's been doing them since the MPX200 and still got new shiiii coming ... u want it on linux then go get the A1200... check the rewiews for it on this site and maybe that'll shut u up... u want to get really schooled then go check the type of motorola phones in the far east and u'd understand why they dominate the way they do even tho detractors like yourself are hating on the sidelines.
Dont talk to me bout tech or functionality cos i've done em all and trust me dude... you can't even come close so stop trippin... i got this locked down.
Same way i said about the v3x and ur type was moaning until it won the Best 3g phone award and ya'll then shut up... check reviews now all the users luv it but that hurts you don't it?
A word is enough for the wise... dont waste ur time...game recognize game and if you cant.... then mate you aint got no game.
Plus.. i'll say though... even you gotta give it to motorola for looks so at least you acknowledge it.
I'll tell you what... if your current phone ain't a smartphone... i mean a regular everyday 3G phone... tell me one thing it can do that the v3x can't do... if not better and i promise you i wont bother getting the v3maxx.

@ Gangsta Moto
I honestly think there should be a forum dedicated to how good a Moto looks cause thats all u "fanboys" talk about.
so many relevant points have been made yet all you talk about is the look, GET OFF IT.
"Best 3G phone", If you say so...(ha ha)
Can someone make a valid point about this set
without mentioning the look (really doubt it though)
You "fanboys" must plan your wardrobe around
your phone.
Please make a sensible point or go back to MTV.com with the other D&G Moto kids

Other than the quite prominent flash in the front and HSDPA technology I really don't notice a big difference - design and function wise - between this phone and the V3X.....

I agree with you! At the end of the day I couldn't care less what people buy, but it does annoy me that Motorola is given more credit than it should.
Everyone in London had this handset, and the people looked like the mobile phone. All dressed up and posh they thought they had the key to being "trendy" with the RAZR. And yes, the RAZR was an awesome design back then, but don't tell me that these models are so advanced.
All popular brands do it. Nokia and SE recycle til the cows come home. It's OK, but less popular brands like SHARP and TOSHIBA offer better quality products and are not even worthy of a review?
If people would buy phones for their functionality, then the market would be more balanced.
I see true advancement in the use of modern phones and believe that we can save ourselves money and "space". One mobile phone can replace a variety of multimedia products now-a-days, but credit isn't given for that.
Why do people adore and lift-up brands that so obviously use them just to generate profit? If you had any brain you would see that most phones look the same, same functionality (V-Series) but with the same price tag over and over again.
What was the difference to the V525, V535 etc. it was none to minimal. Yet they were all new phones and people would spend money on a V535 even if they could have a V525 for cheaper.
I tend to look for functionality in a phone and am dissapointed that looks are all that matter in this market. If more people could focus on great products like SHARP and TOSHIBA we could all enjoy better camera phones, and use this technology for better purposes than just to look awesome.

Hey,gyus stop fighting each other and look at the facts:
Samsung; SE ; LG & Motorola has the worst polyphony ever made 4 midi ringtones / nokia is almost ok with that feature but about the mp3 ringtones it is exactly the opposite.
As to the features each one of them is FILLED with extras and they have forgotten the main idea of the phones, but having in mind the struggle for the customer's money of all this hungry hiennas it is an affordable evil, right?
they do their phones with CMOS matrix of the camera and not with ccd-the difference is GREAT believe me!The market if flooded with well packed electronics made to last a year or two so that when it brokes to buy the new modwl who has just been released-what a coincidense ;))) It's all about the money! The quality is much lower comparing the old models-the had almost no extras but if u had one u will know that they don't "bug" and if it happens to drop them when u put it back together it will work, and what will happen if u had the chance to drop ur ultra slim phone? u will have now 2 phones but not working eighter one of them? yes, correct!
It is good to have a competition,it is good to have all these " necessary" extras on ur phone but let this be not on the expence of the quality, because people get disappointed and feel cheated!
I hope You got me right.
peace...

i agree with the point about mobile phone designs being recycled, and the terrible lack of innovation in these past few years.
But I think at the end of the day, it's the consumer demand that decides what kind of phones we get. I see V3 RAZR designs on the streets everywhere I go... so people must enjoy spending their money on phones with this design.
It's true, Motorola/Samsung etc. aren't putting in that much effort with the designs and milking a hell lot of money out of this cash cow... and people are suckers for it.
When the mass market gets sick of it and starts buying other brands or designs, they will see a drop in their market share and start doing something about it. But I have a feeling it might be a while before that happens...

You are obviously throwing a blind eye at the fact that this isn't JUST a clamshell.
No, not every bar phone is a rehash of seven years ago. But please do open your eyes and see that this IS a RAZR (it's name...) for the 4th or 5th time now.
We're not bashing Motorola, but stating that its about time to stop recycling.

Samsung ( and underated LG) make better
clamshell phones in terms of functionality, OS, feats, and performance.
Bottom line.............

I don't consider these new phones to be rehashed models of the RAZR.There is quite an art and a level of achievement to get the kind of specs these phones have- into the tiny housings they are in .These are solid phones.
Do you consider the candybar phones of today to be rehashed versions of the older ones from 7 years ago ? How about sliders ? Everyone is doing them now.How is this different .Let's be fair and not bash .

I didn't know adding an extra band was going to kill the manufacturer's bottom line. Is it that more expensive to add the 850 band to a phone? Just look at Motorola. Even Samsung and Nokia have woken up. SE can keep sleeping for all I care...
