i feel cheated by motorola. paid so much for so little (function). the more i use & look at my v3, the more i hate it. thinking of trading in for another make but the second hand motorola trade-in price is quite low (according to the sales person).

V3 has got almost no function compare to many other phones on the market for its size. The phone is too wide; maybe it's designed for basket ball players in mind!!! My V3 do not even have an icon to show you the alarm is "On".

Just try it first!! If you dont like then dont buy!!! Moto Fans dont waste your time listening/reading all these USER OPINIONS that hasnt even used the V3 yet. Everytime its their friend that has one, its never them cuz they cant afford it!!

I'm actually English, I've got the Bluetooth to work now. Why not compare, there both mobile phones with similiar features appealing to a similiar market, right?
I now use the gx30 when I want a phone with decent features (plenty of memory, decent camera, ease of use) and the V3 when I want to look cool. (Should see peoples faces when I whip this baby out!)

Hi Robbie, how can you compare American electronic products with the Japanese? Everyone is buying the Japanese products ( good design, reliable, lots of useful functions & friendly to use ) . . . except some old stubborn American . . . and Motorola is an American product!

Second hand value of Motorola phones always drop fast. The value of my "like new" V3 is only worth 70% of the price after 3 weeks. I do not like this phone so i am trying to sell it.

Just got the phone. Looks and feels great, noy to easy to use. camera quality poor but I was using GX30 before so much of a comparison.
Main problem, I bought the phone because of the Class 1 Bluetooth (100 metres), only to find that it can recieve data from other phones but cannot send any. Absolutely gutted. maybe I'm doing it wrong, if anyone can help then it would be much appreciated.

It's a phone, so you'd think the main focus would be around making and receiving calls, exchanging contact information and sending messages. I've owned one for about a month now, and was dismayed at the awful phone book. I have over 500 contacts, and as you can imagine 30 or more start with the same characters. With the phone book in the V3 you can only input the first letter of the contacts name, so in one case I have to scroll down 22 names to get the contact I want from 45 people who's surname start with the same letter. As a business user I call many diferent contacts in a working day, and a message to Motorola, It is not possible to remember over 300 shortcuts, might just as well remember the whole damn number. If you send or receive a contact without a number from asny bluetoothe device, my phone switches off and restarts. The Software Motorola supply is not straight forward to install and use, and furthermore contrary to their sales people it doesn't sync with outlook as it comes straight from the expensive aluminin extruded box. Spen less on the box Motorola and more on the software development and customer care. Get a direct dial line to data support, I don't want to wait 5 days for a reply that eventually says, sorry we cannot give you the technical support you require.
BUT THIS PHONE HAS EXCELLENT CALL QUALITY, THE CAMERA EVEN IF ONLY LOWER RES, HAS A MUCH LOWER NOISEFLOOR THAN MAY P910, AND FAR OUT PERFORMS THE P910 IN LOWER LIGHTING CONDITIONS.
THE BUILD QUALITY IS EXCELLENT AND FEELS SOLID, THE PLASTIC BOTTOM REAR HALF IS AN ACCEPTABLE COMPROMISE TO A POKEY OUT AERIAL. OVERALL I LIKE THE PHONE, BUT IT IS SERIOUSLY LET DOWN BY MAJOR FUNCTIONALITY FLAWS WHICH ARE THE ESSENCE OF A PHONE. BIG ERROR MOTOROLA.
