The exterior of the Motorola Razr V3 looks better than most phones currently in the market. However, icons displayed on the screen are of a rather low quality. The people at Motorola should've installed better icons, it would've made this phone far better. The phones from other manufacturer's such as Sony Erricsson and Samsung have far better quality icons.
It would've been a much more functional phone if there was more storage space. Though its got these drawbacks it still is a reasonably good phone.

let us not compare with other phones first...this phone yesyes slim, thin bla bla bla....usual crap...but wat really amazes me is how much potential it has in sucha crappy phone..yes...it can do wonders...its sound can beat se and nokia for nuts...if properly exploited...and its fuctions..have proved to be much more user friednly...im using one now and i cracked it like a nutshell..hahaha.with much fear of crashing..i successfully manage to set it to the way i would like it to be...for example super looud ringtones...and bloody 12 icons in the menu and such...wahhahaha...guess its not how the phone is preseted but how u carve it into ure desired shape..hahaha...mines currently the d&g model. when i switch on and off...it shows the d&g logo...WHAHAHHA guess theres 1001 sets now in the world..WAHHAHAHAHA TATA

hey guys he razrs are having a few issues here and there... if you had bought your phone in feb or march of '06 take your battery out and on the back of the phoen there should be a dot made by a marker if youdont' see it then you have a phone that was shipped from motorola with possible malfunctioning parts...this only applies to phones purchased in feb/march '06 and on...and BTW this is a great phone...this was meant as a fashion phone not a work phone DROPPING it won't do... try dropping the NOKIA VERTU which retails for $45,000 oh yeah thats right is pure diamonds... drop this baby it will break before it hits the ground people... you buy a razor you are buy a piece of ART... if you want a phone that will stands shocks and falls, if you are a regular joe that can't understand that and you answer is "BUT IS JUST A PHONE" well then this is not meant for you...sorry...but just for fun go out and buy a nokia VERTU you can find them usually at high end boutiques or SAKZ or Neimous Marcus :) bling bling LOL...

I got my Motorola V3 today, and all i can say is that it is going back tomorrow for a refund. The problem being that in the 5 minuites i have had the phone turned on, it has restarted/switched itself off and on 12 times!!!! 12 TIMES IN 5 MINUITES! Not good. However, i can happily report that my phone does have video capture (brought in the UK). I know that early V3'S never used to come with video capture, so it looks like they have put it on newer versions (obviously, it wont be guaranteed as most sites do not say that this phone has video capture-even motorola website themselves). But stay well clear anyway though!!!

I'm shocked about how bad the quality of this phone is. It is easily scratched;Takes very bad photos. Then 10 months into having it, it dropped out of the pocket of my pants when I got out of my small car, (not SUV). It got brokend at the joint and went completely dead. My Siemens S55 has been dropped from high places numerous times, into the washing basin filled with water and nearly four years later, it still workswonders. It still looks like a new phone! Motorola needs to have a hard look at itself. This is the worst value for money I ever got. Casey

I bought this phone during its launch and i have been using it ever sinse. I dont know why so many people are cursing this phone,i think itas one of the best ever made. Its very durable and has been thru a lot of punishment with no problems wat so ever.A brilliant choice is you want a reliable good looking phone for 'PHONE' usage as well te occassional photo or video. Many of my friends have used this phone and are quite satisfied with it. If used correctly like a delicate peice of electronics this phone does its job very well.

very nice phone, ive had no problems with it,, but lacks ringtones, and memory. if you want a basic nice lookin phone, go with this. but for all those other people that use a PHONE as a TV, MP3 PLAYER, or GAMES, do not go for this phone. a PHONE is a PHONE for me, as long as i can call someone..

To answer the question about wether the phone has video capture, the answer is essentially no, however, having read other forums they are leading me to believe that the newly produced V3'S are now starting to come with video capture, so although there maybe a slim chance that if you buy a v3 it will have video capture on them, by no means is it guaranteed (because they may be lying). However, i know of 1 site where you can buy "V3 Video capture editions" so it might be a good idea to explore further.

I really like this phone after getting to know how it works (which is not easy with the poor manual). Most complaints on this site make me wonder why they didn't buy the Razr V3i which has the better camera and SD Card Slot but for me, this phone is fine as I don't use thousands of long ringtones and large photos
