You can get them in black, they're just hard to find. You can get a black facia, and are easibly changeable with a T6 screwdriver.

Is it really not possible to ensure MMS dictionary mode is NOT the default when one goes to text ?
Is it really not possible to lock the keypad ?
If so then this is inexcusable on Motorola's part ! The delete key is not well positioned at the extreme top left of the keypad. Too far for the left thumb to reach.
I think I'll go back to using my Nokia 6630 instead of my V3i, even if the text font is too small !

Static noise is there only when you open the flip and as long as the screen is lit, this may be because they chose to leave the speaker amplifier always on when operating the device, to fasten up response time when an audio notification appears. (my oppinion)

Sorry I forgot there's also a "silver" version of V3, still in plastic though.
Applications to be used with it are java, whatever you can find around.

Yes there are 3 other color versions under the name V3 (not V3i) - pink, blue and black. The V3 has no memory expansion, only 5 megs shared memory, and the chasis is in plastic. There may be other differences, but as far as I know there are the most important. Costs less, too.

why do i hear static noise? even if im not making any calls?...the pc drivers crashes my pc everytime i try to install...
overall i rate the v3i 7/10.

Hi I just bought this phone from Hong Kong. Menu is in English but when I try and save peoples names and numbers it is in Chinese. Does anyone know how to fix this??
