Gansta Moto.I bought the phone from an official dealer but , I bought it in Italy and now I'm abroad.I have a 2 year warranty but I have 2 get to Italy to benefit from it.I thought it was a problem that had a quick fix, if not I'll find a way to return it and get a new one problem free.

I have had my RAZR 3i for about a week now and I am very pleased with it. I have avoided Motorola's up until now as Ihad one for work yaesr ago and just found the interfaces extreemly hard to use.

The menu system on the RAZR is a bit odd but it is all there. Missed calls are in within the recieved calls for example - why?

The display on the inside is brilliant as is the small one on the outside.

I got my phone with the free bluetooth headset which works like a dram. Voice commanda work simply and you can tech the phone about your particular voice if necessary.

I have yet to install the software that comes with it but will do shortly.

There does seem to be a limit of 999 pictures on the transflash card which I suppuse is a restriction put on from the software. I upgrdaed my tasnflash to 512mb for £30 which was quite reasonable.

MP3's can be played through the phones speaker. I might invest in the headphones set to see what quality that is. I do have a seperate MP3 player so this isn't an issie for me.

I did worry about scuffing the case though but found that use of chamois leather brings the phone back to its original shine.

The call quality is a lot better than my old phone which is a Panasonic X700.

So bascially it is the best phone I have ver had. I will be taking it abroad so will see how it fairs abroad..

Hey Gangsta, no hard feeling man, i do agree with you on the fact that the V3x is miles away from the V3i in features, but personally if i wanted something as capable as the V3x, i would go for a Nokia, like the N80 or 6131 when they come out, personally! Reason why i stuck with the V3i was simply cause it is in my opinion better looking, not as tacky and just very slick to use. Always liked flip phones, though nokia, (untill the 6131) sux at them, and moto always had the lead in flips. Anyhow, it's all good haha! See ya around on here for sure.

The probelm with getting the phone direct is this (at least in the UK):

The monthly instalments u pay are to recoup the cost of the phone plus your call charges etc...

When u buy it full price.. u still end up paying the network for a phone u never got from them... and there's no way to diffrentiate and pay strictly call charges cos it's fronted as the cost of your tariff thus no exceptions.

You may wanna get a Pay as you go Sim card though but then u get charged higher rates than your contract counterparts and they still make money of you.

Then if your phone gets damaged... forget the nice perks of next day replacement like we get with Orange here... u gotta use ur warranty and wait for it which can be a pain.

Personally i think it's better to get the phone from the network then debrand it with a simple software flash and flex which are free all over the internet.

          Have a look at www.motox.us

Buy the V3i at an authorized Motorola dealer. You get a full warranty as well as the assurance that what you are getting are originals. Greenhills are for the cheap ones who can't afford.

Oi Lami... sorry bout that boo didn't mean to offend you...

Just felt i had to drop that there so no one gets misled into thinking the V3i is better than the X.. cos without a doubt the X is miles ahead of the V3i... especially when u realise that the normal V3 has all the same features but are just disabled so moto could make more money off those that are unaware.

                My bad.

                    Hey Gangsta Moto,
First off, i wasn't directing my feed back towards anyone, i was leaving my personal opinion. Secondly what does sex have anything to do with what i described clearly as phone specification. I am a nokia fan, but i love moto too, and with all honesty, yea i like V3i a lot more than i do V3x and i had and used both. But thanx for your reply, and hey i don;t need you or anyone feeling sorry for me lol. Hope you enjoy your phone, and let others enjoy thiers!

Returned my V3i for a V3x guy's and i gotta tell you i got no regrets. V3i is just a V3 silver with the I added on and a few tweaks to the software that i was able to do myself with the V3 black... i enabled video, call filters (restrict calls); devlivery reports; Instant messenger; Sync and loads more by upgrading my software and seem editing.

The V3x on the otherhand is light years away from the v3i guys... aint metal but got like 90 other things that the v3i aint got.

So glad i returned the V3i cos it was a rip off... the v3x on the otherhand is a new phone.

I feel sorry for u Lami... ur probably a girl.

Returned my V3x for this one, and no regrets. It is really a superb cell overall. Only thing is, i'm waiting for the NOKIA 6131 to come out lol.

I have an option of buying a warranty for my phone agaisnt any manufacturer defects for 3 years. Should i buy it? Can some one please tell me the durability of it? it's not a warranty for if i drop it but its for if some thing in the phone goes wrong. What should I do?

The Motorola V3i is now available at Greenhills Shopping Center in San Juan, Metro Manila. I saw it today. The price is 16,000 pesos, equivalent to approx. 300 USD.
