You can play song while flip is closed only after you have created your playlist. To create a playlist of sounds go to Multimedia>Sounds>New Playlist. Afterwards check all the songs you want to include in that newly created playlist. You can also edit such playlist by pressing option button while playlist is highlighted and press edit. I've tried writing a message on this phone. Dear God, it is so big that my fingers hurt when I was trying to reach the buttons. It is big. Good for the screen, bad for the keyboard.

hey!! need a lotta help! could some one please suggest how i could increase the messaging capacity?? and y i cant listen to songs with the flip closed??(except the i tunes)everything else in this fone rocks! and does this support a 1 gb memory card?/ pls reply asap...

i got 1 minute 3 seconds video record with 512mb card on v3i.. its just motorola,,Igot 3 minutes with my a835 and 1 minute with my e1000.so it goes back years & its always horrific quality

need help with my v3i,no i tunes,can i down load mp3,s on this phone?,phone came from germany and can not connect to the internet,tried with a tech on the phone for two hours and could not get the right settings? keep getting this message 500:internal server error ,some one help if at all possible,love the phone ,just need help thanks bwarr2

does anyone knows if i can listen to music with bluetooth wireless headset?
it really bothers me that motorola produce a bluetooth wireless headset but you can't use it with motorolas phone.
and do i have to listen to the musics with the flip opened?
cause everytime i closed the flip, the mp3 player just got switched off all the time.

i didn't buy this phone yet but i want to check about some issus:
1-how many minuts it record(video)?
2-the pictures are clear?
3-is it easy to use like the moto e398?
4-is it strong in cover?(scrash easily)
5-how much time it will still good if normaly used?
6-did u have any problems with the charger?
7-when buy it : an earphone come in the package?
8-do u have problems with opening the phone a lot?

I have had my V3i for about 3 months now, this is the first time ive had motorola. To start with the phone was brill did everything i wanted it to, it had a few annoying things about it like the sms memory etc. Now my phone is broken, it was on charge and suddenly started vibrating on the table and wouldnt stop so i tried to take the battery out and sim etc but now it will not switch on and all it does is vibrate. Only 3 months old and broken and i always look after my phone and it was in excellent condition. can anyone help with this??

i heard that this cell even with the 512 memory just records 1:30 minutes. is this true or isn´t??????????????

The itunes and the phone tools can't be used at the same time. both syncronizes so only must be used per time. If the problem is that it doesn't connect or the computer can't detect your phone, there are three reasons. First, the port of your phone is dirty or the pins have already coroded so try to clean it. If it still doesn't get detected, try to reinstall your phone tools and itunes then try to connect it. If it still doesn't work, the port of your phone may already be worn out or loose already that the pins do not actually touch anymore. If that's the case, try to have it fixed or checked by the service center.
Sometimes, when the phone USB port is used very often, it gets too worn out that the cable no longer gets connected properly to the phone. Always take good care of the phone's USB port. The pins are soft which means tha it can easily be distorted and are prone corosion.
The female port is the one that easily gets worn out and not the male end of the cable.

hey guys. i'm having trouble with this phone for some reason. can u guys helps me? the problem is itunes and mobile phone tools can't detect the phone when it is connected to the PC. can anyone help me?

ritz bitz: yep, it's got a calendar, but it's real basic. If you want some better pda functions, probably better to look at a phone that'd more designed for it, like a Q or an E61

Just got mine, awesome phone with lots of great hacks out there, the iTunes bugs me, but I still think it's better than the motorola mp3 player. You can get them factory unlocked for $230-$240 now, check out Sugarpipe.com

hey sau your problm is simple! the itunes which u hve loaded is registered to the ipod which u have or d your friends,d registration numbr which is behind the ipod should be the same when u load it for ur v3i, so try to have 2 diferrent user acts in ur pc so that u dnt get tht mssge nd ur songs wnt get deleted, it is no software prblm.

This phone is great, i love the color and the design! and for the person that wanted to know how to set your music as ringtone you have to copy the tone or the song that you want as ringtone in the phone memory not in the memory card, copy from the external memory to the phone memory! and once it is saved in the phone memory in the menu you have the option to set it as ringtone for calls o messages! i just recieved my excellent v3i yesterday.
my problem is with wanting my own mp3's as ringtones and how to do it?
ihav the version without itunes which is suppose to allow you to do this. i was able to save the music onto my phone from my computer but cant figure out how to save them as ringtones.
