Hi,
Does Motorola officially facilitate free software upgrade through any of its websites? On the other hand, does there any official way to know if my mobile has the latest software version or needs update? How I could know the features and solved bugs provided by the newer software versions?

erm...this is da 3rd motorola mobile phone i have purchased so far...not to say that i'm a die hard fan for motorola ...it just happened that whenever i wanted to buy a new phone ...motorola designs alwiz turned out to be da coolest one...i think v3i is da best so far from da design to its functions...two words for it "just nice".
for those who like big diplay and slim design den v3i is da best choice ever.
btw can any1 plz tell me where to download skin for this phone? coz i already bored using da same old skin from my previous phone...moreover da other 2 build in skins kinda sux too...
Moreover is there any ways to protect da camera screen?? coz it kinda exposed without any protection...guess it'll be full of scratches sooner or later...

I purchased the V3i after 5 years of using Nokia and believe me its the most wonderful phone I have ever used. People who think Motorola are difficult to use are crab.. it is nothing like that, let me ask this way. All you guys are the one who made Nokia on the top of the charts by saying its easy to use when now when u use ur new phone u always try to compare phones why ?? If I say Nokia is good and is easy to use then I am the one who actually made Nokia good that don't u think that Motorola can be so easy if u actually like this phone. You have to make the phone acustomized as per your requirements.
Secondly how many times yo have faced a problem in Nokia, my answer countless times, Go to any Nokia Service Centre and you will find 100's of people sitting in the room complaining about the phones its looks as if it is a fish market where everybody has a proble, whereas Motorola never ever has such problem. How many times Nokia Service Helpline has given you a call when you call them and they are busy with thier own operations. I was amazed the kind of Service , Custom Satisfaction Motorola is working upon. I call Motorola people they were busy they asked me for my phone no and they clled me back in 10 mins this is just superb.
I tell you my friends pls do buy a Motorola phone , don't eer compare things. Phones are like cars , every car has its own importance and its own sharpness but the V3i is the sharpest and the most sexy phone ever used by my. So just buy it and u'll be happy for it, Trust me.

i just recieved my excellent v3i yesterday.
my problem is with wanting my own mp3's as ringtones and how to do it?
i want to know how to save my mp3's on my computer to the phone memory as one person has said you need to do that in order to play mp3's from your computer and use them as ringtones.
helppppp meee. plz

got this thing then regreted that i did not investigate if it would work with a cochlear implant. might work better if i had a headphone but can't locate one. only stuff seems to be blue tooth and they then only offer an expensive stereo headphone. the company doesn't seem to care if the hearing impaired can use their stuff.

I have purchased V3i about 3months ago.It is working fine. The only problem I am facing is while transferring songs from iTunes, it always gives a message 'Your mobile phone is linked to another iTunes Music Library'.Then it asks to change the link, when I press Yes button ALL MY OLD SONGS ARE GONE.Can anyone explain why this happens?

to dada... u need to save the mp3 music to ur phone( the song u wanted to make as ur ringtone) if its in the memory card, u cannot use it as a ringtone. very complicated, isnt it?

just bought my v3i and im happy with the features and performance..for some who are still undecided to buy one, i suggest you purchase the v3i instead of the v3x.. great phone!! thanks motorola..

Hello All,
Anyone thinking about buying this phone DON'T DON'T DON'T! I have had this phone since March 06 and it has already been replaced 4 times. Crap sound quality and too many software issues. This phone is worse than a man's temperament! It may look sleek but believe me it is a headache!

hmn......i've owned an L6 and Razr v3- what a nightmare!! there no functions that could keep me busy 4 long! 2 me lookin good come next only next 2 functions. up untill now i thought nothin could beat SE in price and functionality and still nothin can. den i got this v3i. this was comparetively bettr den L6 n v3 so read along:
advantages: good memory(256mb) with mp3 playback capabilities. transfering data with pc is a breeze. good looks. user friendly interface. nice n big didplay. bettr camera den da v3. and fair amount of functions.
disadvantages: low sound. spkr has poor base. da phn couldn open pictures i got frm ma frnds K750 as they were '2 large 2 opn'. poor battery life. no radio. no edge n infrared.
verdict: bettr phn den da other motorola's i ve usd but still dere r room 4 improvements

If looks are the only thing that you seek in a phone, then this is the phone for you. But beware, the interiors of the phone are terribly manufactured.
In just 12 hours of use, I noticed that my external display had bad resolution*, and in 5 minutes it just turned blue. After replacing the phone, the new handset, too had the same issue. Moreover, the new handset has a loose earphone/USB/charger slot. It's not tight and in one place. Also, the phone just does not get detected on iTunes, or on Motorola Phone tools or on the PC. BUYER BEWARE.
*Try doing this - take a picture of yourself with the flap closed+smart key. When you see that the picture is being stored (this will appear on the external display), open the flap and discard the image before the storage is complete. Close the flap, and see what happens to the external display. You will get a bad resolution image of the internal wallpaper. Keep it that way for about 5 minutes, and the external display turns blue, without any picture. To get back the original display, you will need to switch the phone off, and then on.
