@ Bruce
you must have a "Motorola Phone Tools" Software to maximize your phone's features.. the cd is included in your package when you purchase it at moto store outlets..
especially when you really need to make your phone as a wireless modem, you really need to have this cd..

I've had this phone about two weeks now...disliked it at first...the battery life was horrible until an ATT rep suggested I charge it overnight - despite it saying "Charge Complete" - and it seems to have worked. The data transfer is ultra-fast on the 3G. Bluetooth works seamlessly with my MacBook's Buetooth. Never thought I'd use all the features, but now I'm starting to love them... and starting to really love this phone. I was a die-hard Samsung fan prior... but I would recommend giving the Motorola a shot... especially because ATT has a lousy selection of Samsungs right now IMO.

@ Will
It's up to you, how to take good care of it..All phones have their own positive & negative feedback, the phone is not the primary concern but the one or the person who uses it. whether you use it roughly or gently?

I like the design of the V3XX very much but there are quite a lot of negative responses for it. Is buying this phone a classic action of sacrificing practicality for style? Or somebody would say "not really"? Can I compensate its fault with more care? I surely don't hope to buy a phone that last for just a couple of months.

I got my phone on Feb 7. I'd had Motorola V3x for maybe 14 months and it became faulty so got this phone. Had it for 3 days when couldn't access media files. Had fault so got replaced. New phone showed me that my Mini SD card was faulty. They put a 512 card in free of charge. Works great. Never any problems. On board memory is better than V3x on board. It does take a Mini SD card that goes in back. The camera in V3x was 2mp and this one 1.2mp so not great camera but that's what I have a digital camera for. Love the mp3 player. Have headphones from previous phone so I use it all the time. Battery life is fantastic. Got crystal cover for it so no finger prints. Just love it heaps.

To Everyone! Sorry i was away for a couple days coz i've been busy doing so many works, & all that..
@ TSiPodAgent
Before you proceed with the software update, a highspeed broadband connection is highly recommended
prior to it, because your phone will connect to the Motorola server searching for fresh new updates..
You could get it on hellomoto dot com then select the country, then download the "software update
program:-)"
You cannot use your phones as modem for a moment during update, you may need to use another internet
service provider for that one:)
Every phone & every computer whether it be symbian operated, linux or not, could also be infected by
viruses because they are also computers - or shall i say having computer systems.. high-end phones could
also be classified as portable, handset computer devices:-) Viruses are malicious programs that are also
in the form of program icons, & hidden in nature..some are harmless but some are bloody irritating..i'm
not sure, because i haven't seen your phone in person, if virus is the one that causes that on-off
phenomenon...
By the way, The virus case is just another angle that we are trying to look on, i remember you said
before that this "on-off" phenomenon only happens when your battery is low specifically on the first
bar, i'd imagine this maybe happening for a reason that your battery needs to be recharged because it's
already exhausted or almost close to being drained and not because of virus at this time, i think so..
If you would remember, have you ever been to using nokia before?, usually under normal conditions even
when the battery is already weak you could actually see or the handset still displays "full-bar"? right?
but when you try to restart the phone the display then shows it to be low? did you get the point? On
some instances, like the previous dot matrix nokia phones (i.e. 3315, 8855, etc), what will happen say
for example there's only one bar left (battery), the phone turns off, then when you still try to turn it
on it will just hold on for a couple of seconds then it turns off right away, correct?.. but in this
case, your phone v3xx appears to be different, because technically it came from a different manufacturer
namely motorola, and every phone from every brand has their own software and/or hardware engineering
designs, styles, workmanship / craftmanship, & everything, if you would notice..
Just an advice, if you have purchased your brandnew phone from an authorized dealer then don't worry
anymore because you are sure that it is brandnew, and has no history of mishandling, misuse, or
carelessness (compared to used phones).. then this phenomenon is just normal..
Anytime,
-Rick (tm)-
P.S. If i would be asked i'd choose Razr-2 V9 instead of v3xx, because your phone, together with v3,
v3i, v3i D&G, v3x, is the Razr-1 generation.. and any normal design flaws from the previous models were
already corrected, and made some changes to keep the 2nd Generation of Razrs from bad impressions...

Hi rick how can i exactly scan v3xx for viruses?? or scan just the sdcard?? the reboot only occurs during the later part of being 2 bars in battery life. no reboots when freshly charged. v3xx is running sembian? or what? can be infected with a virus??
i tried to upgrade my v3i thru online motorola software update, im getting error like server is updating try again later.
what if that will happen when i do the v3xx?
