How can you scan for viruses? the v3xx or just the sdcard?? also can you give me specific instructions on how to update the software? i did my v3i i get an error message always like server is updating try again later. why?

@ TSiPodAgent
If you want you can scan your phone via pc to find out if there's any virus present on your system,,
Or you could refurbish your phones software / program using Motorola
Software Update

Rick, one more query... my v3xx is just over a week old.. now i noticed that when the battery is about to run out ("later part" of being 2 bars of battery life), the unit keeps on "rebooting"... is that normal? why? problem with the unit?

Yes! Even if your phone displays or detects 2G or 2.5G only you could still use your phone as a modem BUT BUT BUT take note of the Speed.. it is much much much slower, the download time & speed takes you ages to finish..unlike when you are on 3G Band your connection speed is like a BROADBAND:)
because 2G or 2.5G is only being used by previous / oldphones,, and this signal is only good for sending MMS and nothing more:)

Hi! Thanks for the reply!!
Yes the reason why i chose v3xx over p990i is the hsdpa capability... upto 3.6mbps... WHEN our cellphone carriers will support it:) just getting ready..:) i believe smart supports upto 1.8mbps as well as globe.. not sure though... --mostly im using my v3xx as wireless modem.. another question--when signal only detects "E" (edge) and 2g/2.5g--will i still be able to use my cellphone as a wireless modem??

Since some places in your country are still not covered by the 3G signal, it would be better if you'll select the automatic mode, because in automatic mode, your phone searches & uses the best signal strength it detects, what i mean is that it automatically chooses which Band (2G or 3G) is available in your area, when it detects 3G it will utilize 3G but on some areas where 3G signal is scarce it would switch itself into either 2G or 2.5G, respectively:)
You should be a little cautious when choosing WCDMA 2100 cause this mode is only ubeing selected when you do have a stable 3G band in your area, or when you would use your phone as a modem:)
Note: WCDMA 2100 mode uses only a single band (3G) unlike automatic mode, this feature offers automatic switching..
When you select WCDMA then it happens say for example in your area there's no 3G signal, i'm sorry but you'll not be able to receive text messages or even calls:)

Hi! Just bought RAZR V3XX to replace my V3i.. Nice phone! Just got some inquiry about network setup, If I set it up to the WCDMA 2100 instead of an automatic or 900/1800, and I get associated with the tower that only has regular 900/1800 signal (SMART Communications-Philippines), coz some of the sites doesnt support 3G yet. Would I still be able to receive or make calls/sms??

@ UD}w
The Nokia N76 was launched by Nokia just in the year 2007, the RAZR Blade Phones were launched by Motorola in the First Quarter of year 2005,, which is the true copycat, pal?
A Conclusion without proper investigation, hypothesis, & etc is Fallacy...

ATTENTION: Phone Lovers & Phone Haters
Just an advice, there's no such thing on this world like a "Perfect Phone",,
For the Phone Lovers, the "Satisfaction" is the one that makes a certain phone "Perfect" for you... moreover, it's like the phone represents you, so it definitely suits to your personality and most esp to your personal demands, needs, & wants...
For the Phone Haters, this means you are not fully satisfied with a certain phone because you have been looking for more & more features that will suit your endless passion, or endless demand..in short no contentment..
Therefore, Satisfaction & Contentment is Perfection! yeah baby:-)
always,
Rick (tm)

This leaked spy shot of an upcoming 5-megapixel Motorola/Kodak cameraphone seems to confirm the rumor that MotoZINE was the name for Motorola's upcoming multimedia phone series. According to IT168.com, the Z12 is going to be announced in Q1 2008 under the ZiNE brand, and will have either a candybar or a slider form factor and a Kodak-branded camera on the back. Other rumors have it that the phone may even have GPS or Wi-Fi in it as well. As long as Moto puts enough good parts inside (5-megapixel camera, GPS, etc.), we don't care if they stick to their tired four-letter naming scheme. [it168 via Unwired View] motorola still need help

I've had the phone for over a year now. I've always loved motorola phones and this ones no exception. its more stylish than any flip phone nokia or any maker has ever come up with. the I love how this phone works. the only quible I have is the external lcd sometimes dont go out after 10 secs and this drains the battery and makes the phone warm. I've consulted the service center guys about it and they told me its just a glich and all I have to do is shut off the phone and turn it on again. they could fix the prob permanently but it will take a week or so. but my phone is very important to me because of the nature of my job so I just live with it. I have a new krazer3 now and it doesnt suffer from that malady.
