I just got this phone, so far it is very good.
Call quality is excellent, loud and clear via normal speaker, speakerphone, stereo handsfree and bluetooth (It was quite a surprise to hear MP3's playback through my crappy old bluetooth headset).
Music playback through the speaker is also loud and clear, using an mp3 as a ringtone is also very good (unlike some phones- 6288).
The screen is large and very clear, excellent and easy to read, a lot better than the older V3's.
No problems with transferring files from my PC (phonetools supplied), the memory card just shows up as a drive in Windows.
As far as syncing goes Outlook, Outlook Express and Lotus are supported.
I use Thunderbird which doesn't have a calendar function so will have to hunt for a solution.
I had some trouble transferring the phone book I backed up from my old Sharp GX25, basically I had to export as .csv and edit the file to make it somewhat compatible. (I ended up bluetoothing the most important ones across one at a time).
It's too early to know about battery life.
I also haven't used the camera or video calls.

Hey Andrew! Thanks for your reply . . . I am purchasing the phone through cingular in the U.S. for $79 with a 2 year contract, so it comes bare bones. meaning no CD, data cable, car charger, or any other accessories besides the phone and a battery! Also I would like to use phone as a Bluetooth modem. Have you been able to successfully pair the V3xx as a blue tooth modem? Is much slower from the data cable modem? Thanks!

I've been using this phone for two weeks now. Previously i was using the predecessor, the V3x. Vast improvements over V3x. The SMS is so much faster and the phone itself is so much faster than it's predecessor.
Using this phone as a modem is a breeze. Just install the included Motorola Phone Toolkit. Windows will then detect your phone and install the modem on it's own. You can completely avoid using the silly interface that comes installed with the MPT. You can dial it using Windows directly. However, you have to install the toolkit first. When you go to your modem in control panel, you can see it there. Then build your internet connection against this modem. The HSDPA is cool too! It works wonderfully. I used to hate MOTOROLA phones (been using Nokia for close to two decades), but this model,... changes that perception forever!

Does anyone one know how to use the V3xx as a BT modem on the CINGULAR network? I have a V3 and use the following to connect my PDA and laptop to GPRS dial: *99# username: cingular pass: cingular1 this dials GPRS. Is this the same way to connect the V3xx to the 3G network? Or do you have to dial something else? Thanks any help would be appreciated!

I like the RAZR alot but I think that they should be made a little bit more durrable. I have had and seen many break in half after being dropped and they are kind of expenhsive to be that breakable. I have alos heard they are kind of slow. I think they should get an upgrade.
