For V3xx, whenever ur sms reach 3 pages if im not mistaken, it'll automatically converted to MMS format.
If u want to send sms, try to send it short.

Update - It turns out that the number was still on my SIM. Once I deleted the extra numbers from there, it found the correct one. All is well!

I got this phone about a week ago from Cingualr and I loved it at first. After going thru (literally) 4 V3 Razrs, this was a great upgrade. However, now it is less than a week old and I think I may need to return it ALREADY. For some reason, it is converting ALL of my text messages from SMS to MMS. All of my options are set correctly and I have already talked with the tech dept. at Cingular (for more than an hour) They have no idea what is wrong with it. So if anyone has had these problems or knows how to fix it, please e-mail me @ jenee_noel@yahoo.com...I don't want to return the phone, because the warranty dept. doesn't have any of these in stock and they'll make me switch to a different phone model. Thank you!!

Just got this phone a few days ago and so far I'm very well pleased. I do have one small problem: I used the voice dial for a co-worker and when it asked "did you say so-and-so", I said "yes" (the name was correct) but it went to an old number that I still had for him. When it didn't work, I deleted the old number from the phone - everywhere I could find it - but it STILL insists on dialing that old number whenever I try to voice dial him. Any suggestions?

why don't Motorola just make a new razr with its exact original design and update the camera and UI and all that stuff, i can't really find another cell phone that can blow my mind with its crazy stylish look like the black razr did...

when i first got it i thought it was crap but as i used it more and used all its features i love it i mean i wish it had abetter camera but with all the other extras like video calling and mp3 player it a overall a great phone

Just got this phone (handed my Black RAZR V3 "down" to my daughter). Same quality as I have come to expect with Motorola and the Razor series and the G3 is awsome. Highly recommended.

Otherwise u sould know that the bat cover is made of metal and that bat life is very very good(3 days at list) with HSDPA on, playing games etc etc...
PLEASE stop writing lies about this phone.

i know so many people with this phone and not a one of them is happy with it, apparently its awful and breaks all the time.

Nice phone to see, albeit a little thicker than the old V3. The plastic baterry cover squeaks all the time and makes the phone feel very cheap. Battery life is a pain (with only the odd cal it lasted 36 hours) and the manual is very unclear how to voice dial a person in the contact list. i am disappointed and it is currently lying in the drawer, back to my old V3.

Yes, it is normal.The same happens also in sonyericsson k800(but the delay in k800 is more than 1 sec) and in many digital cameras.

Just got this phone and when I go to view the pics that I put in it, it shows the pic, but takes a sec to fully show all its colors, is this normal????

Here in Greece repairing a motorola takes only 3-4 DAYS!!!
But nokia is about 1 or 2 weeks

The fanbois, always the fanbois.
Maybe Mr anonymous Nokia bot should realize not everyone wants to pay more for phones that do less.
If you've ever worked in the industry you'd know their failure rates are quite high and their after sales service is abysmal.
Here in Australia it's been taking up to 3 months to do a warranty repair.
Motorola's 2-3 weeks.

Jeff S my phone is fine I'd suggest you take yours back to where you got it from to see if they'll exchange it, things aren't 100% perfect you may have got a dud.
I solved the problem with my contacts basically I had to reinstall Outlook and synchronise contacts between my Sharp and Outlook, then Outlook and the Motorola. My first phone was a Motorola Digi-TAC and I had to write a list out by hand then put them into my new phone one by one, but that was 12 years ago.
Battery lasted around 2 days on the first charge not too bad seeing as I used a lot of Internet, around an hour of talk time and several hours of music playback.
As that was the first charge I expect a bit of improvement when a few charge/discharge cycles have been completed.
I downloaded a few games and the phone performs quite well, better than any I've used before. It is still very responsive when calls/messages come in.

I just purchased the V3xx last week and was initially impressed. In the last two days, I have had many lock ups. The screen will be white when I flip it open to answer a call and stay that way for 30 secs or more. Not sure whats going on with it. Also purchase a Samsung Sync phone for G/F and have had no problems. I think I might be changing.

I also just got this phone and It is pure awesomeness.. menu control and texting is the fastest, the new UI is incredible, easy to handle and understandable. The screen quality is mind blowing, and I have yet to see most of the features in action..
I recommend this phone, it will not disappoint you
