lol at the idea of a nokia fanboy lecturing on design change. nokia hasn't changed their design in a decade. same basic layout as the cheap candybars. your claim to fame is 5mp cameras and N Series and symbian because the phones are so bloated.

now after 3 years they finally come with a thin phone and it's just as ugly and dull as the rest of their lineup.

you guys are hopeless. because the V3 design is old doesn't make it any less. it's classic, timeless. the RAZR is still one of the best designs on the earth because others haven't caught up. it's in demand and that is why motorola did this.

please name me some phones with 3.6mbps HSDPA that look better and are thinner than this. I DARE YOU!

if it ain't broke, don't fix it....

How can you guys knock a phone that was a break thru in design-technology when it first came out, they worked on getting the other little kinks out until its to the point that it is at. Can't tell me that people haven't gotten accustomed to motorola menu setup yet? i mean if you see the simbian menus, you've seen motorola's, plus you have the options to re-order your menu to your own liking, i find that the people who pick at these things just aren't accustomed to cell phones, sometimes its jsut over bearing to see the whining and complaining about unimportant things, i mean years ago you had a 8-bit 2-tone screen with 4 ringtones, if you wanted a camera on it you would have had to glue it to your polaroid... not to mention the size of one of the old dinosaurs to beside. Fact is if you think the design is so bad, stop take a minute, think of all the stuff you can do with your phone now, compared to 1996, THAT'S A HUGE LEAP. NOW STOP COMPLAINING!!!

plus... other than motorola razr series, nokia 7600 and and the N-gage series, who else has changed from the standard candy bar design for phones? and kept the same level or better of technology? look at the N-gage series, they weren't even phones with games, they are games with phones, and i think the hype over them died down way quicker than the razr hype which has evolved from calmshells to candybars, to slides...

          Study It!!!!!

true if this is such a bad design why does EVERY other manufacturer including the chinese rip off manufacturers try to copy it. maybe if you already have a v3x or v3i/t youre not getting such an upgrade save the vid call camera and the hspda ......dont rag moto for coming up with the better mousetrap

moto features can never compare with mercedes .. if two good branded phs have similar design, ppl will only go for better features phs.

The Design of V3, V3i and now V3xx maybe a few years old but just look around, all Mobile makers are trying to copy them. Samsung, VK, Dopod, LG, NEC all trying to be like the Razer. This phone is a legend. If you can afford to have a Mercedes why Buy a
                    Lexus?

Wow. 1.3 MP. Just wow. the v3xx is actually managing to be slightly WORSE than the V3x.

i just got the phone and its the first moto since a couple of upgrades a few years ago, moto's are still really bad at sync'ing with computers and make games, apps etc very hard to load on to the phone.

other than that its all good! the phone looks good and never misses a beat when it comes to a communication device!

Phones are for communicating so I think its wise of motorola to focus their efforts on call quality, data and battery life. If I knew I needed camera I would take a proper digital camera, not a camera phone. A camera on a phone is a nice little feature for taking the odd spontaneous feature. This phone will sell as well as the other razr line of products. Sony Ericsson and Nokia can cram as many features into their phones as they like but none of them will be as nice as a motorola. All those features are for kids to show off about.."my phone does this blah blah" Its like phone top trumps.
