guys help pls.. im really not good with celfones.. like you know with wlan, gprs, hspda and all that.. but i wanna get wi-fi for my z8 phone.. cause right now we dont have it.. can we do some kind of an upgrade on my phone that wil enable me to have wi-fi? wanna watch videos using my phone or just go on youtube.. help pls... will owe u big time.. tnx- bianca

i just had this phone for 4 days? at first i thought it was acool phone, from reviews .. but then again when i tried and used it as a modem, it gets connected but it dies everytime..in less than a minute of connection, i tried my old moto v3i and it works great.. ill be returning this unit tomorrow, and ill let them do the testing, or have my money refund...or else, it wont be worth for 18K...

hi i just had this phone last week...i have watched the bourne identity movie but after i have downloaded a few music (mp3) i cannot open the mobiclip???? it says program closed...can anyone help me.....and also where can you find movie downloads for this???

The only mid-range Moto with FM radio is the L9. Motorola do some really great machines and FM is just not for a phone. You can't enjoy some great reception with the antenna on the wired phones.

For those seeking for compatible games/ softwares for this phone, please... please AWARE these 2 points:
1- Moto Z8 is powered by SYMBIAN UIQ3.1
2- ALL JAVA games/softwares (Z8= 240x320) are SUITABLE and run perfectly on ANY Symbian device.
So... feel free to download ANY from GETJAR.com / symbian-freeware.com / UIQ.com or use google and search UIQ 3 games (ie frozen bubble UIQ3).

Yes, it's possible to watch videos in landscape mode, just make sure your video is in the correct resolution and ratio.

just bought this fone abt two wiks ago.. love it! looks good. bright screen.. its just dat the cam is only 2 mp.. too bad.. but its ok.. worth 19,000! its rily a cool fon!

Just to add on, when converting, select resoultion 320 by 240 (vice versa), 4:3 aspect ratio, the Z8 phone uses this resolution and ratio.
Also, for those with Windows Vista, try downloading the PcSync software from Motorola UK site(http://hellomoto.com/uk), many other countries motorola site dosen't have the Z8 software yet.
I tried the download version and it works great with Vista.

Motorola software does not convert your vids to the *.mo format.
To play videos at the highest quality, convert your video files to this format--> [H.234@ 30fps, extension *.mp4], this is the max quality vids that moto say this phone will support. Then use the Media Player in the phone to play it (NOT mobiclip player!!!)

the price is pretty expensive considering that it only has 2 megapixel camera not to mention that its one of the top of the line phone of motorola.. why the hell they cant provide camera higher than 2mp???? whats wrong with them not putting some??????/
im an IT student and i would say..
i wont pay a 19,000 pesos for this kind of phone....
it lacks a lot of stuff (considering the price)..

I got the CD, but i have Vista, so didnt work, i just need software to converte videos to .mo files, the ones that get played on the mobiclip player, also some cool freeware or programs for the phone.

you didn't get no software cd with the phone?.. normally ... motorola has its own software, which will help convert files into moto format..... if u ddint get ne cd.. .check the moto website... they should have that for downloads...
