im just waiting that hopefully motorola release a software update soon because there is many bugs and its very annoying having to master reset the phone all the time to get it running normal but other than that love the phone pleased to have got it

had the z8 a couple of days now on o2. just one thing i have a buzzing noise on mine when making calls only lasts a few seconds but its annoying
any suggestions

well,what can i say about this product,this is the first handset that runs on a microprocessor that ran a laptop 300mhz, forget the n95 nokia, this is the one, they should of called it Matrix infinity,this is going to knock all them out,if you love sony and ericcson forget them,guess whos back motorola inventors of mobile communications dont forget if there wasnt motorola you wouldnt be holding a mobile phone,bills p4u

just got mine today in the U.K on contract with O2 and i must say it isnt your normal motorola it hard getting used to and found few things buggy with it already... other than that the screen is great, bourne identity was enjoyable and the video capture is in nice qvga resolution but werent so impressed as i'd hoped

I've now had a play around with it... what a disappointment! The phone totally fails to live up to the hype. Great marketting campaign for a disappointing phone. Sure, the screen is nice, but the keypad feels so very cheap. Camera is a disappointing 2MP when everyone else is managing 3 without any problems. It's not a terrible phone and Motorola have done worse, but if you're expecting something special then this is going to be a definite let down.

Well, My friend works in Phones4U, and I finally tried out the Z8 yesterday... the verdict?
Nasty!
Dont get me wrong - the screen is fantastic, and the kickslide is novel, but the over-riding rubbish factor was the keypad.
For a phone which has had so much hype for so long, I was amazed to feel how cheap and tacky the keyboard was, with a flimsy plastic coating over the keys.. totally ruined the phone for me, so I cancelled my order, and have opted for a Z610i instead.
you're right - it's not as flashy, and the display isn't as great (nothing is!), but at least it's a quality feeling phone.
If you have a Z8 and love it, then I'm really pleased :) If, like me, you're fussy when it comes to phones, my advice would be to go and have a play with a working Z8, and you'll soon find the 'I HAVE TO HAVE IT NOW!' feeling disappears within seconds ;)

motorola should give up in the mobile market and stop trying to reinvent the same design over and over, the razr series has had its day, theres not much money you can milk out of the public anymore!
leave it to the big boys like samsung, nokia and sony ericsson.

this fone with out a doubt is the best ever fone motorola has ever made.i can access the internet free easy and also recieve msg from my msn account.brilliant.well done motorola.

outstanding design, the phone just doesnot last long. maybe that's the motorola fashion to keep updating the phone.
