Just QVGA. But, hey....QVGA is whole lot better than QCIF on the Maxx V6. Big improvement.

Hi all,
The Z8 states it can record video at 30fps, can anyone tell me what size (QVGA, CIF, VGA, etc) and what format (3GP, MP4, etc) it does this in?
Also,
Motorola have had links with nVidia and their GoForce graphics chipsets, is this new TI graphics accelorator any better?
Cheers.

Howardchui.com says it will be quadband:
http://www.howardchui.com/index.php?s=z8&searchbutton=GO
Phonescoop says it will be quadband:
http://www.phonescoop.com/news/item.php?n=2069
Mobileburn says it will be released in the U.S., which doesn't mean it will be quadband, but certainly would mean that there would be a version that supports 850Mhz:

Video here by Italian reporter says it might be quadband, but hasn't been decided yet:

as for the processor in this phone its written up as TI 2420, but it is called OMAP2420
now this contains a 3300mhz ARM1136 cpu which according to Texas Instruments can operate from 330Mhz and up to 1GHz
3300Mhz? that's cool.. better than core duo i think... LOL!

i belive the green colour is cool, cause the menu is also mostly dark, but with some of the same green in it, an awsome mach! but that's of course my opinion to it ;)

I would buy this phone if it had not that horrible "kind-of-green" color on it.
If Motorola could offer us a "all-black" model, I would buy it.
It would be the most beautiful model on the market!

"The mobile is Quad Band, check the bands @ UIQ:
http://www.uiq.com/motorola_motorizr_z8.html
And this mobile works at 330Mhz, no 866, neither 620Mhz.
It has a 220Mhz Graphic, Video and Audio Accelerator which isn't counted on processor speed since it works only for Media."
Not acroding to Motorolas own webshop!
no I cant explain it but the UIQ site is the only i'v seen who states it beeing quad-band.
but for my sake I realy dont care as long as it suports the 900mhz band.
But i guess we just have to wait til we see the phone!

From motorola shop uk where the phone is put up for pre order:
http://www.motorola-shop.co.uk/sim-free/motorola/motorizr-z8/
The Motorola Z8 is the latest edition to the RIZR family of mobile phones. It's essentially a 3.5G, tri-band, slider handset with 2 megapixel camera, integrated media player and bluetooth wireless capabilities. But its a slider with a difference! Open this beauty and it bends in the center allowing the top section to slide in a circular motion making it fit perfectly around the ear and face. The phone also runs on Symbian software and boasts a reworked user interface allowing the user to access most features in a single click.
This clearly states the phone is a tri-band. not quad.
