No GSM 850! Won't be good for the North American Market... It's weird how they have 4Band for the Z3 and not this version. I would buy this phone the minute it comes out if it had all the bands. But given that I got dead zones already in the area where I live (Montreal) from my current triband... I guess I gotta look for another stylish sleek phone! =(
I wonder if it is because of the HSDPA... does that make up for the 4th band? I don't think so but if anyone knows, please explain!

Looks a great phone to me!
Ik like the looks and his applications!
But here in Belgium is said that motorola has many probs with their phones!
What do you People think: Should I buy this one or the iphone when it comes out in Europe?
And where can I find downloadable applications for symbian OS?

I Think the Z8 is going to be a big seller , it has great looks good functions and hope fully the price will be with in our reach. however i have compared the Z8 with the Z6 IN TERMS OF SPECS and it seem to me that the z6 is the better phone , with the longer talk time and so forth,i am i right about that or what

k im suck of this lakes make somthing clear.
Yhe nokia hade the first "banana" phone, aka the Matrix phone, big deal. but that could hardly be called a slider! The Nokia had a plastic cover over the keypad on the phone wich u could slide down. Instead of flipping up.
now a slider phone is splitt in two, and when u wanna type a sms, or make a call the phone "slides apart".
Now the Z8 aint the first Slider and frankly i dont care. Whats make this phone stand apart is the fact that it "snaps" when it slides and no other phone producers have deared to do that yet.
To those of u who argues over whos copying who, Get a life.
To those who say this phone sucks... get real and try the phone first. oh it aint on the market yet:P
I gonna get this phone, Why. It got all the cool stuff i need and want in a phone.
UIQ, 3G HDSPA, Bluetooth, memory cpacity, music player. A usable camerea. so forth.
Yhea a lots of other phones have this, but this phone have it with style.
And btw, to you who complains 'bout the 2 MP cam being to small.....
Go get yourself a Digital camara. It's way better.

I think the oldest banana slider phone is nokia 8110. This phone became famous when apeared in matrix.

Z8 is not the first Banana, Nokia 7650 first Banana with Symbian but I Love MOTO... When it launch???

Who is copying? the answer, even if the RAZR is not longer a good phone it made history, and LG and other brands copied the design so I don´t doubt that LG is doing the same sorry no more comments and I don´t care about anything related to this subjet for now im waisting my time on this!

As usual from LG or Samsung specially from Lg there is not originality for their design,no comments or questions! that´s an affirmation. always the same stuff I´m not impressed LG does it all the time rember after the RAZR! ja ja they don´t have imagination

nice powerful features but imo this is one heller chunky and ugly looking phone. I think i'd stick to buying the ROKR Z6 looks soo much sexier
