The phone companies are all copying from each other. 16M screen and VGA video are just a few items Moto have copied from Nokia. I am waiting for the day when Moto will make a full featured device instead of conning everybody with their fashion phones. Where is WLAN, infrared, FM radio, GPS receiver, 3.2MP camera???Have they all gone for a picnic??? If you keep on worshiping Moto, they will never include these features.

    There is NO best phone ! Can anyone here understand that ? There is only best phone for YOU. And it depends on what are you looking for. A feature, or a bunch o features that are really important to you. If you know what you want, you can choose easily. No one is "stupid" beceause he wants something you don`t. Fanboys, go to your own forums. You are all making this forum unbearable. Get a life !

      If this is the Motorola's best phone.

      But GPRS class 10 not 32, Edge Class 10 not 32, No HSCSD, No WIFI, No Infrared port, No Radio, Not 16M TFT, No VGA Video.

      People, why you are saying this is the best phone?

        Nokia first time only design candybar. Nokia copy cat slider design from Samsung. Nokia copy cat flip design, swivel design, dual hinge design and more from Motorola.

        When "Motorola MPX 300" (dual hinge) in the market, too many people said that's mobile un-stable design, ugly, bla...bla... But finally "Nokia" copy cat dual hinge design from Motorola. Hahaha...

          Ugly phone? Let's we see, Nokia will copy design from "Motorola Rizr Z8". Is same like "Motorola V3 Razr" when first time in the market, too many people said something negative complain but finally Nokia copy cat "Motorola V3 Razr". Hahaha...

          "Motorola Fan's" will talk about "Motorola Rizr Z8" in the public. Off course "Nokia Fan's" or other brand fan's doesn't want talk about "Motorola Rizr Z8" in the public. Hahaha...

          "Motorola" not copy from "Nokia" in their introduction of VGA at 30fps video recording. "Nokia" copy from other brands too. Hahaha... Mostly Nokia copy cat concept from Motorola. If Motorola copying from Nokia, just small copy from Nokia. Nearly all Nokia design is copy cat from Motorola.

              You Moto Z8 people are a vulgar bunch. "Me" offered a valid comment about the limitations of the microSD card and he was summarily abused and insulted first by PDLx then by others that included the vulgar "oh dude." Progressive people will not be intimidated by you. We will continue to exchange ideas so that the art of phone making will reach higher standards. Talking of copying: are Moto not copying Nokia in their introduction of VGA at 30fps video recording???

                  Hahaha... Today i look all the new Nokia. The quality of the casing is very poor, like cheap toys.

                  For now the faster grow mobile marketing is in China. I got the information from "Gartner" and my friend who live in China, he confirm about mobile marketing in China. The fact, Motorola has more than 19% market share and Nokia has 9% market share.

                  Let we see which global market share grow between Nokia, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson.
                  Nokia
                  Q1-Q4,2005=32.4%
                  Q1-Q4,2006=34.1%
                  Grow=1.7%
                  Q4,2005=34.1%
                  Q4,2006=35.2%
                  Grow=1.1%

                  Motorola
                  Q1-Q4,2005=17.9%
                  Q1-Q4,2006=21.3%
                  Grow=3.4%
                  Q4,2005=18.2%
                  Q4,2006=21.9%
                  Grow=3.7%

                  Sony Ericsson
                  Q1-Q4,2005=6.3%
                  Q1-Q4,2006=7.3%
                  Grow=1%
                  Q4,2005=6.6%
                  Q4,2006=8.7%
                  Grow=2.1%

                  The conclution:
                  - Global Market Share grow between "Q1-Q4,2005" until "Q1-Q4,2006"; Motorola grow 2 times than Nokia and more 3 times than Sony Ericsson.
                  - Global Market Share grow between "Q4,2005" until "Q4,2006"; Motorola grow more than 3 times than Nokia and more 1 times than Sony Ericsson.
                  - From 3 brands; the slowest grow is Nokia.

                  From the fact of global market share grow; i can said Nokia is junk mobile.

                    in 2002!, you said it, nokia gained market share in that time now it holds 35% of the marketshare and had 37%! of the Q4 2006 sells.
                    and the n95 its just some weeks of comming out ;)

                      me:

                      even though the N73 has faster memory card the phone OS itself is a downer. multitasking of the phone(N73) is relatively poor compared to any other OSes(like windows,palm and UIQ) and i believe this upcoming UIQ 3.1 rizr z8 will outperform S60 because of the improved multitasking features of this new platform version even though they had the slowest memory card as yoi imply. and look at it's processor: TI multimedia as said in the specs. so it is suited for multimedia applications unlike the ARM processor of the N-series(i think it's only for business use thst's why E-series runs very efficient unlike the N one)

                      anyway does nokia don't use micro sd cards in their phones? Imo they do... and Sony ms micro is alot faster than that one so i think you are just defending and bashing at the same time the feature nokia also had.

                      please don't be a hater. this uses UIQ 3.1 platform so the UI is now SE like and a bit moto like. search and watch at youtube.com and see for yourself.

                        I think 70% of phones uses microSD cards, so stfu and stop crying. There is nothing wrong with the card.

                        Nokia is always copying other brands, design concepts and novel technologies, eveyone know, they can sell more phones than any other brand, BUT THEY COPY!!!

                          I'm sorry PDLx to say this but you are a very stupid person.I've read several of your posts and all you say is Nokia sucks.you should do psychiatric test and see if all your bells are in the right place.i was just pointing out that this phone uses the slowest memory card on the market.it may be the smallest,but it's not the best for this task.it may be suited for a mp3 player but not for a phone.even the ultra 2 micro sd is slow (with a theoretical speed at writing of 5-6 mb/s) compared with mini sd ultra 3 with a approx 19 mb/s read speed and 15-16 mb/s write speed.so you should stop saying that the n73 is a far slower phone than the rizr z8 (on basic all you do on a phone is determined by it's speed,thus faster card,faster access time,read time,copy,play,load etc etc).I've got on mine a ultra 2 1 gb card and it's actually very fast.please next time you post something think 60 times before writing something stupid.other than that I am looking forward seeing these 2 phones head to head in a competition that will end all the debates on which is best.

                            i don't know why you keep saying that this is a fast phone??hello...it has a TransFlash (micro sd) card which is the slowest of the bunch.the normal one has a writing speed of 20x - aprox 3MB/s (compared with the mini sd from the n73 - 60x or aprox 9 mb/s) the n73 will always be faster when it comes lo loading,playing,viewing etc stuff from the mem card.and that's what counts.you don't want to wait 5 minutes lo see 3 photos at 4 mpix resolution,or a video moving choppy.you can't rely on 90 mb of internal memory.

                                        Motorola Vs. Nokia
                                        Arik Hesseldahl, 01.19.04, 7:00 AM ET

                                        For Motorola, the battle for global mobile phone market share with Nokia is not going terribly well. In fact, though it has remained firmly in the number-two spot behind Nokia for several years, Motorola has no choice but to start looking over its shoulder at South Korea's Samsung. "2003 may turn out to be the final year in which Motorola is the clear number two," says analyst Neil Strother of Instat/MDR in Seattle. "2004 could turn out to be real horse race for second place."

                                        Behind Samsung are other vendors such as Germany's Siemens (nyse: SI - news - people ), Sony Ericsson--the joint venture of Sony (nyse: SNE - news - people ) and Ericsson (nasdaq: ERICY - news - people )--as well as Japan's Kyocera (nyse: KYO - news - people ).

                                        Nokia can apparently do little wrong in its mobile phone business--that is, unless you count the N-Gage, a combination phone and handheld gaming device that despite a great deal of prerelease hype and marketing bombed when it finally hit the marketplace. That doesn't mean Nokia doesn't have relative weaknesses relative to Motorola. Motorola leads Nokia in sales of phones based on CDMA, the dominant wireless phone network standard in the U.S. market, though Nokia has recently been more active on the CDMA front, Strother says.

                                        Motorola also has a stronger presence in China compared with Nokia, and China's wireless market is growing fast. One estimate by that country's Ministry of Information says there are only 250 million wireless handsets in use among a population of more than 1.3 billion. That makes China the world's largest wireless market, and it is where Motorola did 19% of its sales in 2002 compared with Nokia's 9%.
