in reply to whitey, it comes with a 256mb transflash and standard iTunes on the non-american models have 50 songs. American ones come with 100 songs, but there are programs that can change the limit but it voids your warantee. I know I have. BTW-This is a freaking awesome phone

plsssssssssssss, any1 who knows how i can get firmwares 4 my motorola rokr should plssssssssssssssss get 2 me cos i tried downloading games on my phone but it doesn't support them n i also tried browsing but it doesn't browse either...thanxxxxxxxxxxxx.

10/10, a seriously kick ass phone. Criticise it till the cows come home, but, I use this phone on a daily basis, best phone had yet, still happy. Up for upgrade with my contract, but to be honest, haven't seen anything that I want, happy with this.
Stereo sound, the sound is very clear - crystal. As are the headphones that come with phone. (Bass is class.) iTunes can be a bit slow at times, however, it never does this at the expense of music playing, always smooth.
Battery life is good, I can play music more or less throughout the whole day from it, make calls, texts, etc. and still see it into tommorow. Never tried to see how long it'll go standby - I've seen it through like over a weekend in Airplane mode.
Camera could be better, yes, but the flash is good - can be used as a flashlight too.
Rest of the phone consists of typical Moto features.

I'm sorry to everyone but this cellphone is just amazing. Those who says it's a bad cellphone is because they don't know how to use. If you wanna have a multimedia jukebox, 3 in 1 this is the phone for you. An excellent *cellphone: amazing reception, amazing call sound quality, speed menus, nice web surf;
*good camera: the camera quality is not as good as the k750i's camera, but for the price it does its job. *a kick ass mp3 player based on iPod, called iTunes. ONce I had a ebay china mp3 player and sold it because I got in love with the sound quality of rokr, much and much better than those china mp3s(and I was using it with an excellent pair of philips headphones). The stereo speakers sound is amazing, it scares me every morning because I use its alarm clock. It has 7 volume steps, and leaving the phone's volume on step 2 is far enough to wake me up. No need to think twice to buy it

dis fone is nice bt theres a prob, when an app or game is downloaded its not playable, y? its supposed 2 be an midp 2 fone bt most java games if not all r not compatible wit it, y? i love games bt cant get 2 play any n d only i got was 1 third of my screen. d others would start but get hooked at d begining of d 1st stage n d config wuld be messed. rite now i feel like resellin d fone. wht do i do?

this phone is great. its not slow at all...except when loading songs on itunes. other than that the phone is brilliant. feels great and easy to use. a bit tricky if you have only ever used nokias, but the menu system is far beyond nokias even tho its the same system moto have only ever used.
not too sure if a larger memory card will work in it. it only holds about 50songs atm, but thats all im after. itunes is great on it, just like an ipod and far more advanced any other mobile mp3 program!
9/10 for me!

The phone is real nice it mp3 player is cool it could be a little faster but i could live with it. I will recommand anyone to buy it. The only thing it is missing is vibr and ring.

I bought this phone and it does everything i want it to do except the video streaming. Its got a great camera and iTunes is a really good sound qaulity.

i think this fone has best sound
not so loud but extremely clear
as compared to its price its features are better........................
bluetooth 1.2v is same like nokia e-series
phone plays stereo videos (mp4) well while hangs while u play high quality 3gp videos.
good phone
there are 2 media players here
one that of moto and the other one is Itunes.
so you should not cry for 100 songssss only
keep enjoying the superb rokr e1.
and one more good news now in market the rokr which is available is able to play full screen videos as my cousin bought it...............i saw that and that was not a firmware................................ its very good fone
size is average
design is attractive like an ipod but not that slim

I thought at first this was a great phone but it's not! Because I find it lousy because when you play songs it's darn slow! And someone said at TV the capacity is 100 songs but mine is 50! And when you stare at it, it looks like a bar of soap. Stupid phone, it doesn't share music with the phone. Selfish phone!

best fone in the world, the 100 songs limit is no more, my fone is totally customizable to my own taste, that's the best part about this fone.
btw this fone is invincible, i've fully stepped on it, drop it a gazillion time, mess up the firmware, etc. and now it is still in PERFECT working condition, even better then when it was new.

the phone is okay, but the connection with the pc is on and off, sometimes it connects and other times doesn't. and how in the world do you update the version from 1.0?! also why can't the songs be used as ringtones?

this phone is simply rubbish! where do i start! its slow when playing songs, it keeps crashing, it can only hold 100songs despite the memory capacity. i thought this was a brilliant deal when i bought it as it ws at an exceptionaly low price and now i know why. i have read other reviews of this phone and i can seen that i am no the onli one with this problem. i advise people 2 NOT buy this phone as it will only let you down. instead buy the sony ericsson w810 or the nokia n-series.

Finally Motorola got rid of i-tunes with the new release of its E2 Version with yes built in bloody Radio, about time.. that got this Version right, but when is ever the right version in a Mob ?
Anyway, I have had my up’s and downs with my E1 model.
The good, it cost $189 AUS, Ok sound speaker set-up, good batt life, can hadle a couple of falls ( on tarmac / concrete) Only had it for 3 months and the Dam phone stopped charging, no more PC connection connectivity.
Spoke with Motorola, they said you have to send it through the service centres, did so and two weeks latter, ( apparently this place gets 200 different repair for Mobiles a day ) not just Motorola, but that is an alarming figure. Giving that there is 10/15 service centres around Syd – Aust.
They said their was a problem with the soldering connections, they fixed them, the ph now works well charges and connects fine to the PC, ( I don’t use the i-tunes software ) just USB cable and manually trans my MP3 files.
They seem to have updated the Software Version, Menu > Settings > Phone Status > Other Info >S/W Version to R373_G_OE.30.42R
I did call Motorola again, and said that I have noticed that there is a 45R version available, they said that the S/W Version and the Flex version of the phone is Network carrier dependent, something I didn’t know ( all I wanted was the newest firmware ) lucky I didn’t upgrade it, as its apparently not reversible with updating S/W Versions.
Besides, that all, all is Woking fine now, and kind Motorola said that they would extend my 12 months warranty for an extra 3months, that was company policy in Australia.
Hope this has helped some new / exiting users.

I got this phone last week,the sound is so great when i put it on speakerphone and its so simplely to use all function of this phone.the price of this phone is so cheap also I only paid US$165 with 512mb card ,its new not RB.I think its much better cohice then the W800 if u dont care with the camera .I love it much
