does any body have this problem? I have set up my E6, installed Motorola Phone Tools and it worked ok the first time. I haven't use those tools for a long time and now I am trying to use them again but it keep saying it can't detect my phone (I connect it thru USB), can anybody help?

Also I was trying to upgrade my firmware from the motorola site, same thing, it says it can't detect my phone

P.S. do u guys remember the default master reset security code?

Thx all!

      @Omar
      Yes it can handle 4GB cards...just depends on what type of card. I think as of now, it can only handle the non-NTSC 4GB cards. No one tried the 8gb yet...so I don't know about that.

          hi,
          im thinking of getting this phone but not sure it will work in australia. has anyone from australia bought this phone?does it work well in australia? thanks.
          =============================================
          I don't know Australia use which frequency bands.

          Tri-Band

          A GSM phone that supports three of the four major GSM frequency bands, and will therefore work in most parts of the world.

          There are two major types of tri-band GSM phones: European and Americas.

          European tri-band phones support the 900, 1800, and 1900 frequency bands. They provide complete coverage in Europe, Africa, and Asia, and work on at least one network in most countries in the Americas.

          Americas tri-band phones support the 800/850, 1800, and 1900 frequency bands. They provide complete coverage in the Americas, and will work on at least one network in most countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia.

          NOTE: This definition applies to the U.S. and Canada, and may not be accurate for other countries.

            the one big positive about this phone is that it plays virtually all music formats. I use wmp to load the music, specify conversion to lower bit rate to pack in more music, refresh the library on the phone and it works beautifully. this used to be a big limitiation with the w800i which did not play many formats.

                Norijian :
                u mean u have 50 themes currently installed on ur phone now?
                as i know, the themes can only be installed in phone memory, how did u manage to get 50 themes? is there any way to store the themes in memory card?

                and have u tried changing the font ? Any easy way than flashing with a whole new firmware ?

                        I have a problem with the battery, it seems to drain out fast and I have to recharge it everynight. I don't use it heavly, but the charge still seem to run our fast. Another thing I found was the battery display is not correct at all. It shows 2/3 full and runs out in an hour. should I change settings or something to get this fixed.

                              Last Saturday, i bought "Motorola Rokr E6". I just can say "Amazing, Coolest, Worth it, Slim, Sexy".

                              I don't think "Sony Ericsson W800" can comparison with "Motorola Rokr E6". Read this link "http://www.mobile-review.com/review/music-phones-en.shtml" talk about "Music handsets comparison – which one to choose?". That's comparison between Motorola ROKR E2, Nokia 3250, Sony Ericsson W800i, Sony Ericsson W810i, Sony Ericsson W900i, Sony Ericsson W300i. The winner is "Motorola Rokr E2". This is some statement from that's article:
                              =============================================
                              The fact that ROKR E2 is the leader is not so suprirising, the phone turned out very successful in all directions (other functions are great as well). But manufacturer is not in a rush to release this model as quickly as possible, it will hit the shelves only in Autumn. At that moment the positions can change, but I still think that the model will remain impressive, it’s jus the competition between already available music phones that will grow, and it is very interesting to say the least (remember that the design will not suit everyone, it’s a mobile phone for young people). Sony Ericsson’s products W800i and W810i are rather interesting as well.As for W900i, this model does not look so appealing when compared to the competitiros, it has low price/quality ratio. The situation is same for Nokia 3250, there is almost 2x gap between the leader and this model. We can always say “hey, it’s a smartphone, it means…” and what just this means exactly? We were comparing only “musical” part of the handset, and this part has been inferior when compared to others. This is why it takes last place in our rankings, this position is well-deserved.
                              =============================================

                                    if anyone has bought this phone and has SUCCESSFULLY uploaded mp3 files/songs into this phone, let me know this phone actually does support mp3 files...i bought the LG chocolate, and it says its an mp3 player but i read the manual and it doesnt support it. so it was a waste of money. the software for the chocolate sucks too. so please let me know what you think . and also if the software it provides is good. thank!
