good comment, about all those tech stuffs. u someone wanna upgrade.. they always find something that is better.. like those from p910 to p990.. i hv tons of mp3, mp4..in my 2GB e680i.. and the wonderful opera browser..i hv gone thru all those stuffs.. my " no point" is for me.. not to those using standard phone. if u wanna start will a multimedia phone the e6 is the best.
upgrading is making ur money spend worthwhile and going into a new chapter..

Well actually Jason i'm a business man and whenever we get shipments in it would be convenient if i could just scan the boxes and the items with my phone to keep track of what we've received and what we're missing.
There are other uses for a barcode scanner other than to scan groceries.
:) I'd appreciate a non mocking reply that would help answer my previous question, rather than a childish remark.
Thanks.

Yes, Motorola call it "The Entertainment PDA". You could compare it with the Samsung D600, a phone which has an Email program and a Picsel Viewer, but doesn't have 3G or Wi-Fi either. It has a view extra functions that would suit business users who don't need an expensive PDA. The E6 is the same, because it also has a Picsel Viewer, an Email program, Barcode Scanning and a Business Card Reader. Business cards are quite popular in Japan and China, which makes sense because this phone was aimed at the Chinese market because for them, using a touch screen with Handwriting Recognition is easier than using a keypad.
Of course, with the ROKR brand and slick design, it is aimed mainly at the young market with it's impressive miltimedia features and the fact it can double as a webcam. Just go to the Chinese Motorola website and see that a guy who looks like he is in his 20s appears in a series of adverts using the phone.

Totally i agree with all "Dexter Statement" :
=============================================
To Dexter,
If you don't like the E6 go back to whatever page you were on before and stop wasting out time! The E6 is a mutimedia phone, not a phone for serious busines users who would need WLAN or 3G, where do you live? If you're in North america 3G is useless anyway.
=============================================
To many silly comment.
If you want 3G Technology just buy 3G Phone.
If you want HSDPA Technology just buy HSDPA Phone.
If you want FM Radio just buy Phone with FM Radio.
3G Technology is not really use. Look in Australia, they already has 3G Technology since 5 years ago but useless because just a small customer use that technology. 3G Technology just can hold until 2009 because now many country try to use 4G Technology and WiMax Technology because more faster and more cheaper than 3G Technology.

i hv been using a e680i for almost 2 years.. it's really a good phone.. one of the best i hv used.. after over 20 phones. since this e6 has a similiar os. am sure is really good. but how come is doesn't has 3g and wlan..?? thought of upgrading to this e6.. wat i see the differences are the casing.. and card reading.. and bar code scanning..which i dun need. so, no point.

Roger:
I don't own the E6 but I read in the Mobile Burn review of the phone http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Page=7&Id=3064
That it supports POP3. :)

It may not be compatible directly with iTunes but RealPlayer can play the protected AAC files that you buy from iTunes so does anyone know if the RealPlayer on the ROKR E6 can at least play the songs bought from iTunes like the full version on the computer can?

Does the E6 have POP3? I can't wait for the iPhone but its way too expensive so I'm going to get option B.

barb:
the only thing I can tell you is to erase all the pictures that you don't want on your SD card then try aigain to take pictures. More than likely, the phone is correct whan it is telling you "no more memmory available." if that is not the case I geuss I would try turning the phone off for and on again to have its applications reset.

Gino, I own a E680i and they share the same interface, so probably that little one-time beep or vibration is due to a missed event, like a missed call or unread msg. You can also tell this by a new icon of a exclamation mark (!) at the top row of icons. :) Just click on it to get rid of it..hope it helps!
