Just a quick question to anyone out there who owns an E6:
If you download a Java application that doesn't support the touch screen, would there be left and right function buttons at the bottom of the screen that you would use the stylus with, or what? And can you use the on-screen keyboard in a game, for typing in your name for example?

I have had this phone for about two weeks. I noticed that recently it has been beeping or vibrating for no reason. It beeps once if it's in ring mode or vibrates if it's in vibrate mode. It's really annoying because I think I have a message and then I look and nothing is there. Does anyone know why it might be doing this?

hi..1 question, does this phone support full broswer? for example, in O2 XDA II i can surf websites just like how i surf on pc, i get the FULL view of the website, and i can view any website not only wap enabled website. So can this be done with E6? As im planning to get Unlimited GPRS access if E6 has full browser function. I had E2 before this but I dont think it supports full browser as i cant login in into Friendster.com website and so on. Anyone enlightened one on this. Thanks

I saw a study that was conducted of 100 people for the the Motrola Rokr and the Sony ericsson w800 series for better playback of mp3 and guess which came out as king...? THE ROKR!!! 65 random street pedestrians prefered the ROKR's mp3 output over the Sony ericsson's.
very nice phone....
that was only for the rokr e2 not even e6

@ Kelvin
Motorola ditched iTunes for realplayer. I'm pretty sure that the E6 can't use iTunes. I personally like the real player just as much as the iTunes. iTunes is great if you have a mac like me :-) The E6 is still compatible though which is nice. I guess you could try to program iTunes on it?

Yes you can out downloaded stuff on it from the web. I have a movie on mine that I got off limewire. Plays great in landscape mode.

Yes the E6 does play videos (Not only the ones u recorded with the phone camera). It comes with a program to convert whatever video format to .rm. It's pretty conveninent, I have watched Naruto and Bleach on it and it is great.
A question: I read that E6 supports iTune, is that true? I have an E6 but they dun menstion it on the manual....

@ roker style
Thanks for the reply dude, but I just want to make sure that the video you speaking about in your last message is not a video taken by the camera transfered to a pc then transfered again to the rokr. Just to have better clairity, does the Motorola Rokr e6 allow viewing of videos that are downloaded from the net? example google, yahoo, etc?
If it does, that would be totaly sweet!!!...

To DB
The E6 is thinner, faster, and better than the ming. The flip option doesn't seem that great with the MING. Being an owner of both I personally think the E6 is alot better cuz
1. Improved 2MP camera
2. Thinner
3. Call volume is better
4. Battery life on my E6 is better than my MING
5. SD card capability
I can pass of my E6 as a MP3 or a PDA or a Camera when I'm at university because my university for some reason don't like cell phones in class.
E6>MING
MING is good but I got bored.

Hey guys, I heard that you can use a 4GB SGHC card in the E6 as long as it has been formated. Is this true? Check out Hi-mobile.net, they have it selling with a 4GB card for an extra $90. If it is SDHC what is stopping us from putting in the new 8GB SDHC cards? If anyone has successfuly one this please tell us how. Thanks a mill!

@Sammir
Yes the phone can get online and things like that. No, it doesn't have WLAN or Wifi...who needs them anyways haha. There is a rumor that theres an EDGE mod going around...I've got to look into that and see if I could increase the speed of my internet on the E6, but the GRPS isn't that bad =) it serves its on purpose, its not slow either.

It's nice that this phone is Tri-Band, I've ordered it and it is coming Quad-Band, I am happy. This phone is nice, but I love my MING it's so awesome. The flip is what sets it in a class of it's own. E6 is basically a MING without the flip. The E6 could flop here if they go and release it with it's number, same goes for the MING.
I'd buy a ROKR E6 over an E690 or a MING (Maybe SLIM will be used here?) over an A1200.

Yes you can transfer videos from your comp. to your phone. If you have a large enough SD card you are also able to watch movies in landscape and portrait mode. Cool huh?!

I am wanting to buy this phone, but I would like to know if the Motoroker e6 supports video files, (NOT) videos you record with the video recorder in the phone, but rather videos that you transfer from your computer to the phone?
