-Yes, you can use the included opera mini or download(for free) a newer version of opera mobile. mobile works better than mini with full html pages but doesnt allow you to open more than 1 page at a time.
-this one is subjective but i believe it is loud. it is definately louder than my blackjack, my slvr l7, and my sister's razr v3

im still deciding if i should buy this phone, so can someone tell me if these functions work
-multitasking when mp3 is on
-use mp3 as ringtone
-web browser without buying any plans or hardware
also im wondering is the speaker good and loud?

there is no such plugin. you will have to convert the video file into a compatible file type (ie: mp4, rm, 3gp, etc) just make sure you set the resolution to 320x240 the bit rate to no higher than 512kbs and nothing more then 15fps otherwise you'll get an error message during playback

I don't know about the SCREEN 3 & Next events in Home screen setup, why it is used?
In desktop user1 & user2 is there, if we select any of these, nothing will be displayed & how can we select the things to keep in this desktop & plz tell me about the security system of the mobile.

Could someone tell me where the default wallpapers are saved on the phone.My friends wanted me to send them but i am unable to locate these pictures anywhere,unless i want to change the wallpaper it appears

YES it can play video at 320x240. zmplayer. quadband and edge too.

dave is right in his last reply to u , if u set the res of a video too high it wont be played properly even its the same in my so called nokia branded 5700 xpress music which even got a bit higher video fps than the rokr e6 ... its screen is 320x240 but when playing exactly 320x240 res videos the videos starts to skip after some time it will be running without any problem when the video is converted to a lower res than that ...
and that u have said u cant play 3gp and mpeg 4 in it thats a big lie isnt it i think maybe u just have to study a " how to convert a video tutorial " through the net ...
and buddy no once a** is better than a touch screen phone if it is it must be a high tech robot a** ...

I had the same problem. For some reason it when it auto detects it has a problem. I had to create a new profile and manually select the phone through a drop down list. Hope this helps.

You're probably just flaming considering your language but to clarify for everyone else it CAN play mp4 files you just cant have the resolution,fps,or quality set too high. The processor cannot handle it and you will experience skipped frames anyway. Besides why would you want to waste space loading a 700mb movie onto your phone when it's maximum res/qualtiy it can handle anyway would require only 1/2 the space at best. you would just be filling up your memory card for no reason...kinda senseless to me...

this phone doest support animated screen savers nor avi/mpg/mp4/dvx niether any application & softwares even it cant play a whole 700mb movie

1.I have played rm mp4 and 3pg. (cannot play 3pg2 files)
2.Software can be installed but it has to be either a java app or made for this linux OS. many compatible softwares can be found at motorolafans.com
3.clarity becomes bad because youre not actually zooming in like with a regular camera. digital zoom means you crop the picture and strech it out to fit the screen which is why it looks bad. This happens to any camera without an optical zoom lens or one where you use digital zoom.

The E6 should have come with MPT but you can download a copy online. try searching torrent sites and/or motorola's website for the program.

I'm using this phone for 8 months...
With my set i got only 1 CD. in that CD i did not get any Phone tools software now i want to take backup of my contacts and SMS how do i do that please HELP.
its really gr8...If u face problem with charging then just lower your screen backlight which will increase bettary life up to 30%...

1.Can we play all catagories of videos for Example .avi .mpg .dat .dvx
As i know we can play only .3gp videos only.
2.Can we install any software, where we insall in nokia and other mobiles.
3.When we are in normal camera mode without zoom, clarity will be very good, but when we keep on zooming clarity goes very bad.

@ben, i prefer the Black Theme. But its very important that when you're outside you hold down the talk key for about 3 seconds. This is the shortcut key for toggling the backlight from user set brightness to max brightness and makes the unit much more legible in the sun.

You actually can access the phonebook or any other section of the phone while in a call. The phone simply prompts you whether or not youre sure you want to do this incase the selection was accidentally made with you cheeck while you were talking. Just hit yes and continue.

Hi...just picked up the e6 few days back...amazing phone! just one question though for those who have it - what's the BEST setting for the wallpaper and color scheme and backlight for outdoor use (in daylight)? I feel this is the only drawback on this great phone - no anti-reflective screen. would appreciate an answer soon. thanx.

Mobile is good. But While talking in this Motorola E6, we are not able to go to contact list, If it is possible It would be useful for user, because if we want to give the Phone Number of some person's while talking in the phone its not possible as now.

Oh yea, forgot to mention that hotmail wont work since Microsoft doesnt use POP3 or IMAP. and you cant check it with the browser since they require a java plugin thats not included but you can download opera mini which i believe does have the plugin but i dont like it as much as the standard one. the only times i use opera mini instead of the preinstalled opera mobile is when i want to view something in landscape or i need the java plugin. mini just feels a little clunky and slow for my taste.

There are no instant messengers installed. There are several java apps you can download though. 2 that i've found to be really good are EQO and eBuddy. I generally use the latter cause i've been experiencing some connection problems with EQO lately(not sure why...worked fine for a few days then just stopped connecting). Anyway i did run into a small glitch which was that when the phone's display is off there is a quick but noticable if quite clicking/popping noise of the loud speaker...dunno why but it happens on both programs...a little more on EQO. Both apps are free and i believe eBuddy has a html version so you can just use it with the browser instead to bypass the clicking.
As for email, the E6 handles IMAP and POP3 accounts natively. Couldnt get IMAP to work with gmail though not sure why. But i am using POP3 on my gmail and it's fantastic! Havnt tried Yahoo but im sure it will be the same. I believe google has a java app you can install as well but i prefer to use the preinstalled client as its fast, clean and simple.
