thx for the help brother i just found a motorokr e6 for an unbelievable prize here in the nearest motorola branch ... i was going to buy it but they said they are out of e6 stock i only get to use the sample e6 phone which is there for tests done by the customers (i think for 10 min's or so) anyway im impressed by the screen quality and very good phone plus functions in the linux os i havent got the chance to test the volume of the loud speaker or sound volume through headset ... they said another new stock of e6 phones will arrive next week ... so i should wait thx for the help again dave ...

I use AnyVideo converter cause it lets me queue up a long list to convert. anyway the setting you want are no more than 512kbs(i use 192kbs) and no more than 15fps. The default is 256kbs and 12fps. dont know what the max resolution is but theres no point in converting to anything higher than 320x240 since thats the screen res anyway. audio i keep at 192kbs. encoded to mp4 with aac audio it comes out to about 167MB per hour of video.

sir have u ever tried copying a 3gp converted movie to the memory and play it is it possible cuz this phone got a good video playback time ... if i want to convert and copy a (mpeg into a 3gp) video to this phones memory with how many frame rates do i have to convert the video ... and tell me will it give late audio play back ... like in some devices u cant play high frame rate videos cuz i see the video playback properly but the audio comes a little late ...

well.....the fone's been working just fine but i have a problem wit the video settings.When i wanna play some of the videos it says "media parameter exceeds allowed limit",wat do i do abt this? someone pls give me a solution as fast as possible

Yes its glass...no nothing is scratch proof...and no there is no cover you can buy(at least none that i know of) but it is very scratch resistant...i've had this phone for about 5 months now and i've slide my phone across tables...and just toss it onto tables...not a scratch on it yet...

It can play mp4 files as well. The only limit on video files is that you cant exceed 512kbs or 15fps.

I've never experienced that problem. have you tried to reformat your memorycard? and did you make sure its NOT an SDHC card? the E6 cannot read SDHC cards. and which method are you using?

I think motorokr E6 is not gud as nokia 5610, as i have both the phones and in E6 i cant play a full movie worth 600mb as it say "PARAMETER EXCEEDS LIMIT" and even it doenst support animated screensvers
The supported formats for E6 are RM/3GPP/MP3/WMA

You have 3 options...
1) you set your phone to mass storage(in the usb settings) and plug the phone into your computer. now you just use windows to drag and drop files onto the phone.
2) you connect the phone to your computer via bluetooth and transfer the media that way
3) you remove the SD card and plug it into a ccard reader attached to your computer and aaccess it like a usb flash drive.

No, this phone does not slide. it is a bar phone.

You have 2 options for entering text. you can use the on screen keyboard with the included stylus or (if you have small fingers) your fingernail, but i recommend you get a screen protector if you do the latter. Another option is to use the hand writing recognition program. It is accurate i'd say about 90-95% of the time but i hate going back to correct mistakes so i choose not to use this method.
For Chinese Character input you can again use handwriting recongition (which works REALLY well here), type its pinyin form or use the zhuyin board

well i had it for 2 days now and its the best phone i ever had. I has alot of features and the touchscreen is like a dream it has some weakness tho. 1 no moving backgrounds 2 its kinda heavy 3 no flash camera and 4 it cannot go horizontal to to view the full screen strenghens they are 2 much to point out but the best to me has to be multitasking you can acess anything while talking i mean anything also you can load up 3 or 4 apps and it still works well & its linux based :) customization baby :D. Great Job motorola keep up the good work
