The phone is not fragial at all...i've dropped it 3 times from 3-4ft on a tile floor and no so much as a scratch(although i do have a screen protector on)
as for the speaker i can only compare it to a sony ericsson k810 and a moto SLVR, both of which are not as loud as this phone. just wish the vibrate was stronger as it is about the same as the other two(which is pretty weak for my taste)

i read through the comment posts and came across the question of how to copy and paste...highlight and tap...(hold onto it) for 3 seconds then the menu should come up.

I have not installed the iphone theme hack for fear of bricking my phone but there is a pretty detailed guide at motorolafans.com just go into the e6 general forum (not the hack forum) read through the stickies for "guide to modding your e6" it's in there.

i think that is most likely a hardware malfunction and you might want to contact the seller to have it repaired or replaced

have anyone noticed that when playing the music, the song playing skips A BIT once in awhile?
im sure nothing else is running in the background...just the Real PLayer is running.

oh btw, the quadband hack also increases the amount of RF interfence the phone gives off so dont put it next to unshielded speakers or stereos as you'll get a loud buzzing sound when it connects to your network. also judging from the increase interference i would presume that the SAR rating will be higher on a phone w/ the hack than w/o so just a heads up. but i find the increase reception a good trade-off

@bhavesh typing sms is not the best but is definately do-able. you can tap the onscreen keyboard with your fingernails if you have a screen protector on to keep it from getting scratched or the stylus but i dont like pulling it out all the time. handwriting recgonition is slightly faster but it messes up too often which slows you back down
for the edge and quadband hack go to motorolafans.com and search their forum. there is a sticky in the e6 modification thread. just install radiocomm and add the script alpha wrote and you'll be done in a few minutes :)

Well i just bought this phone yesterday.
Dont have any doubts going for this phone..
Bang for your Buck i must say..
Great piece of Tech By Moto yet again..
Phones Features are good..
nice screen with touch..
MUSIC with 3.5mm Jack MEMcard2gb 2MPcam etc.
No Complaints. Treat the Phone Like a baby !!

@bhupesh yes you can but since it uses your headphones as an antenna you get really bad reception(unless you place the headphone jack next to a large metal object)
also i just added the QuadBand & EDGE Hack and the reception is the BEST i've ever had on any phone!!! i dont think there's a single place where i have no reception...and my entire house used to be a dead spot!

The best music phone of Motorola. If you love music, buy this phone, and use the DJ stereo head phone by Motorola (S805) you have a great acoustic sound !

I got this phone yesterday, and let me tell you , it's the best motorola phone I ever had. The touchscreen makes it an orginal phone because none of my friends have such a cool phone. It uses a SD card which can be bought at a very inexpensive price. I absolutely love this phone, and I highly recommend it!

just got this phone 3 days ago and i must say I LOVE IT! the only thing i miss is an AutoFocus Camera w/ flash (got used to it on my k810). Other than that and it running low on system memory(has trouble playing video and running other apps simulatniously) i have no complaints!
The touchscreen is very fun to use and with 2.4" is almost the same size as the video ipod(can barely tell when held side by side) the video files(once converted) playback very smothly, except for a few hicups with bloches of white but they occur only rarely and when extremly white flashes occur(ie: lightning) but is still great when comparing to most other phones. And like i said the screen is perfect!(just get a screen protector so you dont mess it up). It is also far brighter than my old slvr or k810 and is much more visible outdoors. A nice feature is by holding down the talk key you can boost the brightness to max and back to your original setting so there's no need to fumble through the menu when you step outside.
The proformance is pretty good. much faster than any moto phone i've ever used, including the slvr, razr, & kazr. might have to look harder to find games though as it doesnt have any soft keys or hard number pad to enter commands with. you can find a decent library that's been moded to work with the E6 at motorolafans.com
Another thing that i love is the lock switch. no multiple button combos or on screen sliding(but you can add it if you want) just flip the little switch on the side and it's good.
Battery life is great. it lastest almost a whole day with me playing about 3-4hrs worth of videos(at max brightness) and constantly playing with it(keeping the screen on). based on that heavy use it should last 2-3 days if you only make a few calls a day. The only annoying this with motorolas (and this is on all motos) the battery meter is pretty much usless...it only has 3 reading 100%, 50%, and 5%. for somereason it cant give any other reading and when pluged into a computer the batter level always drops from 100 to 50 or 50 to 5. kinda weird but it doesnt bother me too much. The battery also the same size as the slvr(not sure about the razr) so i have an extra one now to carry around(although it is slightly lower capacity)
Being a music phone its not very intuitive...the library isnt very good and it lags a sec or 2 when you skip tracks but i dont mind too much but some people might get bothered by it.
Almost everything about this phone can be moddifyed since it's running linux. they're even working on getting it to work with a wifi sd card! egde and quadband has been enabled and you can remap all the buttons. although do this after reading VERY carfully as you will brick your phone if you mess up. I chose not to play around with that as i dont want to risk bricking my phone so soon. probably will start playing around with upgrades in 6-12 months (wont be such a waste of money if i break it)

You can convert any of your video files(mpeg,mpg,wav...) to real media(.rm) by using Moto EzX Video Producer utiliy(CD). It converts to a compressed rm to a video of 320x240,12fps,256Kbps & audio of 44Kbps. Watching this converted rm video in Rockr is amazing & superb.
