Got this today, good size...good features. It's hard to access the MC card, lot of flaws. How do you set mp3's from your MC card as your ringtone? There's no option for "apply as ringtone" it's so stupid

Within the past week I went from Nokia 6682, to black RAZR V3, and now to the SLVR. The nokia was a flop (the camera was nice but the features sucked,) and the RAZR's camera started malfunctioning on both that I had. so I went with the SLVR... so far it's a great phone and it's thinner than the RAZR. It's a comfortable fit and the sound is amazing. I'm very impressed with it and it was a cheap deal too. I purchased it from a Cingular dealer at a local mall, without a new contract, for $299 which is not expensive at all. The Nokia was $508 and was not worth 100.

I just bought this phone, it's stunning looking, but I'm very, very disappointed by what's in the box! I only have a manual, a battery, casing, and a charger as accessories.
No USB cable, not even a memory card or a CD?! Is this right?

hi lori, pls bear in mind ringtone(mp3) will only work if stored in phone memory, not memory card. L7 only have 5MB of free space, so i believe thats why it doesnt go thru. u need the motorola phone tools cd to crop mp3 so that u can save in the phone memory and use it as ringtone. try going to hellomoto.com n select ur country, see if they have it. i can help you out if u need a copy of the cd, but you have to send a self-addressed envelope to me n i live in Malaysia. long way to you place (",)

hi bea, install the cd that comes together with L7, u might have to upgrade to latest version. connect the usb cable to your hp, then to the pc, it will then initialise with the hp, once initialise, u will get a a dialog box the shape of your L7 together with some option on the side, choose the one dealing with video/sounds/ringtone n then a program willopen up, again choose the melody or ringtone or something, cant remember it now. then look for your mp3, click on it, it will then generate it into soundwave, play that song, then when u know where u wnat to crop it, click crop, it will then shades an area to be crop, now move the left tab to where u wnat it to start cropping n the right tab to where u want it to end, then click the (green check) sign, it will then show the crop area in soundwave, listen to it, if like it then click save to pc, if not delete it or re-crop that present cropped mp3, u will get the hang of it in a shortwhile
