same steps in the beginning
1. Create a ringtone specific playlist, and drag the songs you want to the list.
2. Go to the playlist, highlight a song, and navigate to "Get Info"
3. Click "Options" adjust start and stop times.
4. Go to iTunes Preferences > Advanced > Importing
Settings- Import Using: mp3 encoder
Setting: Custom (32kbps mono, 22.050 khz, mono, optimized)
5. Playlist > select all > right click convert selection to mp3.
6. go to library and look for the song or songs that were converted to mp3, make sure that are converted down to about 15-20 seconds. Highlight the songs you intend to send to your phone. Right click mouse, and copy.
7.connect your phone via usb to your computer, go to MY Computer and open your slvr phone, from there click on Mobile, then you want to just high light ringtones folder, then you Right click mouse and Paste.
The ringtones you made should download, the phone takes awhile to download, make sure you give it some time. when done disconnect phone from computer.
8. (on your phone) go to My Stuff/sounds/switch storage device to card-sliver. your new ringtones should be there, go ahead and move each one to phone memory. once you have done that you are set. you can now go into your phone memory when in Sounds and apply your ringtones.

To CRUZ. What I had to do was switch the song that I want to use as a ringtone from the memory card to the phone memory. Go to multimedia>sounds>Should go to memory card choose song>MOVE>phone. I had to erase a couple of the factory set ringtones but it did work. good luck. :}
