This phone is under 400 euros on Amazon now. Is it still worth it? I'm also considering Xperia 10 vi.

Not sure about covering dropping the screen directly on hard surface because the glass is the same as on some other phones which don't meet this standard.

Lemi, 21 Oct 2024How many OS and security updates is this phone getting? 3 (OS) + 4 (security) years.
This is only Motorola phone with regular monthly security updates.

I have had mine for a little over 6 months now. I haven't had too many issues with not connecting.

Usually if I have buggy performance I shut completely down and that usually resolves a big portion of any issues I experience

I can never figure out why but the wireless capabilities of this phone is awful. Bluetooth specifically is really bad. There are bluetooth devices this phone will outright not connect to. I have a backup S21 and it seems to connect to the same devices just fine no issues. Even auto pairing to those devices. The ONLY device the ThinkPhone will auto pair to is my smart watch. Speakers, headphones, car entertainment systems this phone struggles with significantly. Also the usb device handling is just as bad and I wonder if it is related. Android auto is very spotty on this device. I have ruled out the car entertainment system as the issue with other devices such as a google pixel 7 and a Galaxy S21. This phone has been a struggle since day one I would not recommend.

Peek Display is gone. The replacement is Lockscreen and it simply isn't the same. It isn't as intuitive and user friendly. You can no longer go into the app through the notification by simply swiping up nor would you see a full screen of preview of the notification of interest without having the wake up the screen. The new Lockscreen sucks as compared to the Peek Display.

How far off a Pixel 8a is the photo/video quality on the Thinkphone? I can get the Thinkphone new for £270 direct but just bought the pixel 8a for £260 but do not like the slow charging. wired and wireless on the Pixel.

so to maximize performance many systems nowadays try to use as much (Free)RAM as possible. They should decrease usage for this reason when you actually use many apps of your choice.
