My first ever Internet phone, and restored my faith in Motorola after the joke they call the D520, and didn't have home internet at the time so spent an absolute fortune browsing on this.

Still using this phone today, very durable, been through a bit of wear and tear but still works fine, open it up and it says "made in Germany" now I can see why this has lasted for so long.

Ive been using a Motorola Timeport 280 phone in the Philippines for the last three years. It is NOT stylish or beautiful but is the most durable cellfone I have ever owned. This phone has been dropped several times, endures the 90% humidity of the Philippines and has never required repair nor battery replacement. Additionally the Motorola charger has functioned without problems for three years - compare this to the Nokia 3315 charger (we have to replace it every 2-3 months) and our Nokia 3315 requires service every time it is dropped

For the first time in the history of mobile world, MOTO T280 is one of the finest handset i had never ever seen.
Long Lasting battery, elegant look & easy to use as well as small in size.
You will never be deceived by purchasing of this handset.

flimsy battery cover, hard to remove sim clip slot, weird ringtone composer but good battery life, good reception and clarity and not bad for a no frills phone.

Incredible Phone! This is one of the best phones I've ever had. From its ease of operation to its robust construction this phone never failed to make my situation easier to deal with and/or simpler to expedite whenever that situation involved processing voice or data on the go. I'm still kicking myself in the ass (after a bit of yoga) for letting that phone go! CB

Apart from a creaky battery door, it is a very good phone( very good reception and outgoing voice). For someone who wants only a phone end not a gadget phone.
