I can't find a GSM phone that also works with other domestic cell modes (analog, domestic digital modes). I think this would be great for those us of us who ocassionally travel internationally, but want to use domestic carriers, such as Verizon.

I am having problems with True Sync software with the Timeport 280 motorola phone. I am getting 2 errors - Timeport_280-E0001: Truesync could not read data from your phone. Please turn your phone off and on, then try again. AND Timeport_280-E0003: Truesync could not communicate with phone.

What the hell is with the ringtone composer thats just retarted. Otherwise i love my phone. Just a couple suggestions, maybe u should add a changeable banner, and different color backlights and downloadable ringtones. But i would deffinatly suggest this phone to buy.

Why do people crying so much about 3-band capability? Do You really jump non-stop from States (or Asia) to Europe?

This otherwise good phone has serious problems with the phone memory. Names and numbers must be stored on the SIM card only as the phone memmory periodically erases all stored names and numbers. Because of this problem, voice dialing is useless as voice tags are erased. This has happened on two different phones and Motorola does not offer a temporary phone while making a replacement. Other features on this phone are very good and with it's tri band capability, it is otherwise a reasonable product.

I have this phone with work, and it seems okay. Still a bit dull, motorola should make much better phones, compared to other makers they are still very dull and boring. The games on this are fairly bad. Tetris , pacman , space invaders would be KILLER games for phones! Blue backlit screens! Anyway, it seems alright, but nothing special.

sending an sms message was annoying, the phone saves a copy which means its taking up space so as soon as youve sent it youve got to go in outbox and delete it.
