Have had my tundra for almost two years and still works o.k. This phone does not like "inside calls" whatsoever. I would expect more from Motorola seeing they have been around forever.....

Had mine for 3 months and spring is broke in the hinge. I have AT&T insurance and they say it is up to the manufacture to determine if it was misuse. There needs to be an CIVIL SUIT served on motorolla and AT&T for scaming hard working AMERICANS.

Inferior components and an inefficient menu fail this otherwise good phone. Outgoing sound in speakerphone mode puts the Sonim X1 to shame.

Inferior components (like the hinge) and an inefficient menu (call waiting) plague this otherwise good phone.

Purchased 8/23/10. I like the phone's raised and easy to read buttons and reception but it is unreliable. Video and email have failed. However,I learned that resetting the phone to default cures all problems, and you can then repersonalize. Hinge is very strong, compared to other reviews. Also, you can set the font size permanently, a feature lacking in the Razr V3xx. I would not buy this phone again, and only feel safe because my old Razr is ready to do service if called upon.

The hinge spring or whatever keeps the phone closed
is J U N K... My tundra flops around like a fish out of water...
It really looks like a reputable company like Motorola would put out a better quality piece of merchandise AND take RESPONSIBILITY when they blow it as they did with the tundra...

I work for a water district. Me and 2 others have the phone we have had several problems with the phones. One problem is it will occasionally turn itself off and turn its self back on. The biggest problem is the hinge we have have in about a 6 month period 3 replacement phones for the hinge, and 2 more on the way. I work mainly in the office keep my phone in pocket seperate from anything else, never dropped it and the hinge is broke.

This phone has great reception and so far has stood up to some rough treatment (6+months) there are many features on this phone I will never use and do wish I could delete the contacts AT&T has programed into it.Battery life is very good for me but then again I only use it to talk and occasional text message, could use bigger lettering. Over all a good phone but not great. The price is too high, bought mine used but it looked and worked like new. I work in the construction field and have gone through many cells phones until the tundra I would buy another but again I would look in the used market.

I am using the second Tundra VA76r and it to has started making the clicking noise when the lid is opened and closed. The first one I bought last may and it last maybe 7 months then I finally managed to have it replaced and this one is doing the same thing.
It is on the right side also. The same bulge under the rubber overmolding.

Of course, not under warranty!

Excellent reception. Used it for several months, hinge spring broke under normal use. Sent it to Motorola for repair, as it had a year warranty. They sent it back to me stating "misuse or abuse not covered" and did not fix it. Sent it to CellularDR to fix. They fixed it and less than a year later I have the same problem. Sure expected to get more than a few months use out of a "milspec, nie indestructible". I will NOT be buying any more Motorola phones!! The warranty is useless and the quality is subpar.

My second Tundra has developed the bulge in the rubber overmoulding by the hingepoint indicating the hinge spring has popped out of place and probably broken.
The first one didn't last 6 months............and neither did this one.........You'd think for a Milspec phone Motorola would honor a recall and do something to redesign this problem............

I would like to see what someone from Motorola has to say about this phone. Are they working on the hinge so it will last longer than six months. Another problem i have is that the stores that sell these phones take your money but are not responsible to fix the items they sell.
