can someone clarify if u9 runs on linux? coz i've read @ smape that it's linux-based. latest phones from moto (u9,e8,v8,z6) are linux based...?

Jinx, 02 Nov 2008Even if I do change sound profiles (Silent, Vibrate, etc) s... moreEven i had the same issue.The whole screen turned to orange color for no reason.Then i had to switch off and switch on.Later it worked properly.This happend thrice in 2 months time.Is it possible to just turn off the message tone? I could not find a way to do that.

Budget: Z6 should be slightly cheaper than U9 nowadays
Need for "Smartphone": Z6 is Linux based while U9 is not.
Need for memory: Z6 supports up to 2GB external memory while U9 supports up to 8GB (from my personal experience)
Need for better voice quality: U9 with its flip design and Crystal Talk technology offers the best voice quality in the industry.

1)If music is important to you, get E8 with radio and 8GB external memory.
2)If you don't need external memory, get V8.
3)Anything else, get U9, which isn't a bad phone to begin with. (lack of radio is my only complaint)

are you using a microsd card? cheap cards are the cause of most cell phone issues..
